What pride? You're the guy who is getting so cocky over a win you said 'the fight went exactly as you expected' when i've debunked that as false.....

Maybe you need to look up what "exactly" means

Based on what? One minute of a round is going to decide how the next four go? The point that I'm making, which I made pre-fight as well, is that one takedown from Gall would likely change that round. He wasn't in a huge deficit.

I don't really understand your logic on this fight at all (funny considering you called Gall backers illogical). In another thread, you said Sage ITD wasn't a good hedge to mkes because he doesn't typically win from quick (T)Kos or anything. So what were you and your article writer boy expecting? Sage to win a decision executing something that he could only successfully do for a minute? One takedown per round wins Gall a round in most cases.

I'm not claiming he dominated every second of that fight. But I can say with certainty that he looked way better than a -150 favorite there. The better finisher controls a much larger portion of the fight and then gets the finish.

Based on the round. He was winning it. However long it was, he was ahead.

Saying one takedown would change the round is a hypothetical with no backing what so ever. He wasn't even close to being in position to even shoot a takedown, so.......

No, you may have done it in your head, but you certainly haven't successfully debunked it on here with clear logic and reasoning.

But look we're going to end up the same way as brick top if we carry on like this

Again, he was ahead until he wasn't. Even if Sage didn't get the sub there, his punch and getting the back would have been enough to put him ahead. So no, I don't think you can say he was losing around until Sage tapped. He was losing until he landed that punch, sure, but that's not a huge victory considering how short of a time frame that was.

You are making it sound like Gall looked completely lost out there at the beginning of round 2. He wasn't desperately diving for takedowns or looking like someone like Yahya does when he's desperate for a takedown. He was mixing it up in there and really only came out bad on one of the exchanges - same as Sage. Again, I urge you to watch the beginning of round 2 and see the exchanges. Gall is throwing heat in there too prior to the big one landing.

I'm not sure if you're taking the piss here but I've just gone and watched it again for you anyway. The punch that put Sage on his arse came less than a minute into the second round. Far too little action prior to that to be saying if he was winning the round or not.

I'm not making it sound like anything, i'm just stating facts. Gall was losing the round til the punch, whether he was landing as well or not, and he was not coming close to getting into a position for a takedown attempt. The same way Gall is the winner is a fact, those are facts.

Yeah, props to Gall, I said myself he looked much better standing than I could've anticipated. Never denied that.

Well, to address this, i've pretty clearly debunked you saying 'the fight went exactly as you thought'. Again, look up the word "exactly". There is a difference between Gall winning and you thinking he would win, and the fight going exactly as you thought.

Sure it was short, but if we're talking about what was going on til the punch, Sage was in control. Not just cause he was landing better, but his footwork was on point to make shooting on him hard

I am not saying your wrong JB but it is a bit silly to argue the point after the fight is over. Take the L and move on bro.

Lets at least argue about up and coming fights where we can profit...

Im trying to take the L but smh when people make it sound like they had this freakshow fight capped perfectly. We didn't know anything about Gall's game besides jits, yet apparently NinjaCat knew he was going to almost KO Sage lol

I'll tell you a fact.. Gall was definitely winning the fight for it's entirety. I've just watched it. The 'reversal' you speak of didn't happen, Gall just let go of a guillotine and Sage assumed top position for a few moments before stepping out of it without doing anything. Worth noting Gall got him in full mount right at the end of round 1 as well, terrible position for Sage as the bell saves him.

Gall was far more dominant than you're remembering.

What I'm trying to tell you is he didn't need to 'almost KO' him. He was winning the fight handily in the way many were predicting on the fight thread.

    (Last one, promise lol)

You were implying he did something great to achieve it, which wasn't the case.

He didn't do anything. When someone gets you in a guillotine attempt you're generally in someone's guard on top position by default to begin with. Gall let go of it and.....Sage stays in the same position. What an underrated ground game he has!

Do you think we can make 100 pages with this crap? What's the thread record on sherdog?

As someone without a bet on the fight who've watched it twice and leaned Gall pre fight I think you all are seeing this too black and white.

Gall was clearly a few steps ahead in grappling, possibly as much as people said. He also needed Sage to fuck up and throw lowkicks to get the takedowns.

When Sage started adjusting in round two I for one thought he would get a KO within the next few min, he looked a lot faster and a very much as a better stand up fighter and athlete. If he had started with that game plan, even with his dumbass cocky-ness, I think he gets the finish more often then Gall.

Basically, Gall is smarter and a better grappler. Sage has legit stand up against most decent fighters and he's fast as all fuck. That said he leaves openings and need someone to put together decent game plans for him.

Both guys showed holes in their games and also big improvements. I think the value was probably on Gall since Sage actually overpreformed in the area he needed most (fight IQ, since he actually showed some by listening to his corner which is a huge step forward) and still lost.

I don't think anyone looks dumb for an opinion on this fight unless you claimed that either side should be -300 or something.

Good, fun fight and I hope both guys gets a few more similar fights and goes on to do great things at some point.
