Martinek was hyped a bit and looked fucking HORRIBLE in his DWCS fight - that failed takedown attempt was so amateur. But if he was indeed sick/injured that would make sense, 1-2 more wins and the UFC might snap him up.

Man it was disaster but actually probably best thing what ever happened to Martinek bcs he made some crazy improvement he also hired top lvl mental couch and now is his mentality on high lvl there was alot of issues in contender so much consequences -time zone,body infection-hole in leg,sooo much pressure every news in czech was talking about him tons of people spam his multimedia and at the end in same locker room as he was Nascimentos teammate which literally recorded all warmups and shit and resended it to Nascimento like a WTF UFC? so He was under ultimate pressure , he was sick , and he felt kinda betrayed by ufc..

Maybe he wouldn't be interested in signing with the UFC anyway, then? That is quite amateur though to have Nascimento's teammate in with him.

man there is 2-3 fighters in locker room - locker room spots are draws - lottery style and one of fighters get into same locker room as Martinek ....unluckly it was teammate of Nascimento and team of Martinek didnt know it till they came into locker room ...

With all the issues he supposedly had going into the fight, somebody giving last minute tips was the least of his worries.

He fought on Dana White's Contender Series and got completely ragdolled and tapped out quickly by a Brazilian guy. Apparently he was sick/injured/handicapped in other ways and has looked good since.

Ex professional Czech hockey player which ended his hockey career cause of corruption affair (these pigs just ruined his hockey career cuz he wont pay them - long story) so he started to train MMA and he become top level profi fighter he was 8-0 before DWC he goes into fight with 60% body infection and with bunch of problems he came into octagon and totally failed didnt go by gameplan so it was biggest failure of his career most of people lost trust in him and trust in his skills talked about him as overhyped fighter which know shit so he accepted biggest challenge of his career - match with Vitkor Pešta UFC Veteran which fought with best of bests and he destroyed Pešta in first round he literally ruined his jaw so TKO (injury)

btw as he said Michael Bisping motivate him so much because he came to him after lose in DWC and told him that he have trust in him and his skills and he knows he is world class fighter and is sure he will see him one day in UFC

and as i said in last reply in this thread Martinek revealed that he signed with any USA organization i think its not UFC because of DWC failure and it should be Bellator or PFL

Christ, Richard Odoms must be like 49yrs old now. And extremely boring, always has been.

Had a check of results, the only thing I could find of reasonable note was Kharitonov KO'd Fernando Rodrigues in the 2nd round.
 
Question for you MMA HW aficionado's, is the division beginning to look like it's entering a great era?

Like, maybe something like a 1990's Boxing HW era?

I see guys like Ngannou, Blaydes, Jairzinho, Gane, Pavlovic etc. seems like it's turning into a very healthy young division.

Also, bonus question: How much does a HW like Ngannou make per fight?
