I randomly heard this on the radio today, and it made me think about what would have happened if Dave Williams handn't died? Sure "Bodies" is a joke nowadays...and even at the time it came out, but I semi went down a Youtube wormhole and the guy sounded even better live. If he would have grown as a lyricist, it would have been interesting to see what they would have done.

something really clicked with me today. i’ve heard this song a hundred times since this album came out and i always liked it but i never really realized how fucking great it is. this is probably one of the best examples of truly great songwriting in the past few years. plus, the low hiss of the hot mic & the sounds of adrianne’s tongue rattling and lips smacking as she sings over haunting echoing piano chords. something i personally only hear on old iron & wine records. the lyrics are psychedelic and seemingly endless. what a song.
