Any of you paranormal buffs know much about Skinwalker Ranch? I've heard that out of all the alleged "paranormal hotspots" in the world, people think it seems like one of the most legitimate.

I've heard there have been cattle mutilations there, UFO's seen in the sky, cryptids spotted on the property, and all kinds of other odd phenomena. But that's about the extent of my knowledge of the place.

So last Tuesday I watched that new History Channel show The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, and it was actually pretty good. It was overly dramatic at times in regards to how the people interacted with each other....but the way they presented the mysterious happenings at the ranch was intriguing.

If you're familiar with the lore about the place, what are your thoughts on it? Real or hoax? And if it's real, what do you think is happening out there? Navajo curse, inter-dimensional portal, alien landing site, something underground effecting the area, chemical/biological contamination, ghosts, govt experiment, unknown natural phenomena, or something else?

It's a sad commentary that when you say you saw it on the History Channel I immediately assume whatever you are talking about must be bullshit.

Never heard of the place, googled it and it's nonsense.
Paranormal AND UFO's lol they're trying too hard.

I did like the Project Blue Book episode however.

Something weird IS going on there. Thats just absolute fact. Doesn't mean its paranormal in nature at all tho.

I remember the family that used to own it got so fed up they moved, taking a huge loss, because they couldn't keep affording how many animals they were losing to mutilation.

Came in expecting a porn parody of George Lucas' Skywalker ranch.

Leaving bitterly disappointed.

Entered the thread expecting an intelligent discussion over bordellos and strip clubs.

Leaving disappointed.

The Astonishing Legends podcast did a good series on it if you want to deep dive a little more.
Not sure I believe all of it is paranormal but some unexplainable incidents have happened there.

I’ll tell you now:

DO NOT GO THERE

The security are very, very rough, the entire place is on lockdown 24/7 and you won’t be coming back without some real damage

Probably coyotes. Possibly aliens, but likely coyotes

I'm going to order the book soon and read it. Just extremely strange stories about that place. Also, the US Government funded research there for a few years, to the tune of over $25 mill. That's not an amount you spend on something producing zero results or that's fake.

You must not know much about the US government

You must not know much about the US government

I understand what you're saying, but do you think the government would spend that much money over a period of years on 'fake paranormal bullshit'? I mean this isn't a dictator we're trying to topple or anything.

Came in expecting reviews of a new salad dressing.

Leaving disappointed.
Getting disappointed in one's own thread?

<TheWire1>

We can do that?!?!?

Sherdog, I've changed my mind. I'll postpone getting disappointed for now.

There's a thinner veil between realms / dimensions of reality in some places on the planet. Skinwalker ranch seems to be such a place
