That to me, makes sense since Germany owed/owes jewish people....going back 3000 years and claiming some land is yours, doesn't make sense.

This is like Native Americans from 2000 BC claiming some American spot after they lost that land to other Natives 2000 years ago.

That was conquered land gifted to them. Winners in wars do what they want with land. Israel won a few wars after that they didn't start and took more land.

Kinda how the us, Canada was created.

Germany was conquered tho......They could've taken land from germany and actually made the people who made them suffer pay, you know the Germans who killed them.

This shit show could've been avoided just by doing this simple change.....inb4 in alternate universe, Israel next to germany is actually 100x worse than Israel next to Palestine lol)

Israel wasn't the only suggested location. There were other plans, including using Alaska and the Kimberley Region in Western Australia.
Of course the religious significance wouldn't be there and, despite the revulsion at the atrocities of Nazi Germany, Jewish refugess weren't exactly welcomed with open arms by most nations.

How many people have died for that lousy little piece of desert land? They dont have any oil or even enough water for the peoeple living there. So all this just because your favorite book was written there? Smh

It wasn't a pragmatic choice, the land has religious significance to them.

Two delusional religious groups responsible for much of the war and suffering throughout human history living next to one another near a small piece of disputed land? And they have bombs?

I smell a sitcom.
