i know de freitas and i know felix, but i don't know sanders or curtis. presume those might be the only two fights that have lines..

I see a few people on cote.. I'm struggling to see him beat Saunders and definitely think he's at the end of his career so looking at a stoppage for Saunders in the second or third..

I think they are counting on that Cote can keep the large portion of this fight standing where he should have a pretty big advantage.

loading more on rosa -165

playing cruz +120

small bet trinaldo +155

lil more on cote +105
Welcome to the Cruz train!

I have bets on him:

+135/+130 ML (Thinking of adding more at +120)
+255 DEC
+877 Split/Maj DEC
I also love the o2.0 -347 as parlay material

I'm also with you on Cote

I want to bet on Trinaldo but need a better line/waiting to see his DEC line.

I'm waiting to bet on Hettes though if he can get around +200

Gotta love Killa B but the only way I see him winning is by pulling guard. This is a dreadful fight for him. Cote is very crafty, very good defense and once he finds a comfortable boxing range its all over. I hate saying this since Ben is the MMA community's internet darling and he seems like an awesome guy, but objectively his boxing defense is not good at all.

True I just think there a big advantage in the reach for Saunders although I'm not sure of the stats and core maybe more hesitant with the threat if takedown/pulling gaurd.

I don't recall cote's last fight.. I remember him getting thrashed by alesio sp? And wanting to give up after the back of the head shot I just feel he buckles under pressure and if Saunders can find some range before getting it to the mat it might go bens way.

It sure is a pickem though.

Definitely should watch his last fight vs Burkman. Highly entertaining and his best showing in quite some time.

I did count Cote out completely after barely beating Riggs but in his last fight he did beat the living shit out of Burkman (way worse than Lombard or Kim did) and looked pretty great in general. I dont know if it was one timer but it looks like he's doing the right things with his training.

Thanks O

My thoughts regarding Noke and Alex were that they were close in skills yet I gave a slight edge to Noke in all the pertinent areas being size, strength, power, athleticism, and from the video that I gathered -- cardio. So while they were indeed very close in each respective department, Noke was just a slight step ahead in every area. Accordingly, I handicapped the fight Noke around-165 but once you factor in all of the intangibles that line starts to plummet.

E.G. Noke's veteran savvy, Morono's UFC debut and most significant of all was the fact Morono was taking the fight on little over a weeks notice. Ergo, all signs pointed to Noke winning that fight. What's more, I got Noke around -300 which given all of the aforementioned details I believe that he was a pretty good price for a medium sized parlay.

In hindsight I agree that it was a bad play to put my faith in someone who is as limited in the mixed martial arts arsenal as Noke is and not to mention someone with a history of being flaky and volatile as he has been throughout his career… It was just a bad decision by myself and clearly bad bet..having said that, I still thought that he won the fight quite clearly.

____

I do agree with NBK being the right play hindsight.. I don't think it was a robbery per se, but I thought that he won R's 1,3 and 4 with rales one and three being where only
the Carlos Condit call him only way to have round three being the pivotal round

What's more, Carlos was well on his way to winning the fifth and final round of the fight which would have sealed the deal but props to Robbie for turning it up and going full bore to protect his belt which is fucking awesome to see. That whole match was about whether you liked volume and scoring or aggression and effective striking. When Carlos was landing strikes they were "scoring" yet when Robbie was landing strikes they were popping Condit's head back like a PEZ dispenser. .. The dichotomy between the two was exponential and that is how Carlos was able to out land Robbie by over like 200 punches or whatever and yet still lose… Which seems almost incomprehensible.… But I feel bad for NBK man!

At the end of the day bad breaks happen and they will all even out… I have got a lot of good decisions and bad decisions that were unjust and should've gone the other direction so I'm not going to complain..

Same exact reasons for going on noke, most media mma outlets scored it for noke also. But yeah surprised noke was so flaky despite rocking him in r1 and not really going for it. I still feel he edged a decision with ease, failed subs off your back don't win I tend to look for top position being more dominating and controlling and winning.

Even with condit that knock down I think in r2 from robbie, still felt like condit was just with poorer foot placement, surely all those condit strikes in r2 levelled out the knock down to make the round a draw? but guess not ! It reminded me of jj vs Claudia, when a fighter controls and out strikes an opponent yet one punch to there opponents face and they go down for a second and judges award the entire round to that person, to me it feels the round should draw out to a stale mate. Could be biased though since had £££ on both !

And yes we will recoup, just a right grumble we got no weekly ufc events not enjoying these 2 week breaks !

Honestly, right now Cote is my most confident pick on the card. I see Cote as similar to Demian Maia as both veterans who know how to grind out wins. Cote doesn't have the same level of BJJ obv but both guys know how to win rounds and ultimately get the W. Getting Cote at even money is a steal IMO.

Also as mentioned above he has really honed his training and is doing it right. I think he has good overall IQ for the MMA game and more specifically good fight IQ.

Watched tape on mairbek and wade, I like mairbek here the guy is 1 year younger then wade, twice the experience with a much better overall mma record, lots of sub and ko wins recently and regularly. Wade has only 3 subs ages ago.

Wade does come from a kick boxing background (won some kick-boxing events) but his wrestling is his main bread and butter, lots of clinch work against the cage with opponents, mixed with elbows and knees but he embraces the grind and is relentless with take downs and top control.

Maribek has won a bunch of wrestling and ji-jitsu competitions all over the place, but I did like his take down defence in his last fight, he had an ability to simply push and shrug guys off him but he used technique and strength, he was able to use footwork and small adjustments to simply make opponents suffer for going for take downs against him. He is also strong in the clinch game, and has strong knees too, I could see him making wade suffer for his endless take downs here.

I think wade may have a stronger r3, but mairbek I feel should edge r1 and r2 here.

He's definitely working on his grappling game in the later years of his career. I can see him beating Saunders in that fashion. I do feel like they're going to get hit plenty in the mix though Saunders usually gets his licks in and I do expect a few on Cote, but if Cote can stay heavy and score in Saunder's stifling guard I think that's his ticket to victory.

So much Cruz love at slight dog odds. IF he's 100% and little to no ring rust I'd maybe make him even or a tiny favorite over this version of TJ. But so many unknowns with Dom. 1 minute of actual fight time in 4+ years? I think a ton more value in fight goes distance at -165.
