What is going on with all the Green lines. +385 on his NO Scorecard is just insane! Just put 2u on that

I wonder about Whittaker's punchers chance after Jacare looking so stiff against Boetsch, but he literally has to KO Jacare before he ever clinches with him. If Jacare gets ahold of him the fight is basically over. I had no clue Whittaker was only a purple belt until I saw his IG -- it'll look like a gorilla mauling a child on the ground.

If you take Whittaker you're basically saying that this fight will never end up in the clinch in 15 minutes. I'm not a fan of those odds, but who knows, maybe he can sprawl and brawl just enough to take it.

I'm with you... i did write a devils advocate piece on Whitaker though so I wouldn't feel I'm just going through the motions with horse blinders on. I do feel that +600 is a good hedge or even a good line for a Whitaker by decision prop. I mean, there is only been one person to knock oou Souza but was 14 years ago in his debut against Jorge Patino. FFS Tito was STILL champ then, the Iraq War hadn't begun and were getting our music from Napster! Sure he was TKOd by Mousasi in DREAM in '08 but that was a fluky ass upkick that holds about as much water as Serra KO'ing GSP or Tito rocking and subbing Baber. Hell, not even that. I'd put it on par with Matt Hammill's "win" over JBJ or TKs vs. Fedor lol

Whittaker didn't KO Sapo or Court, chinny Hall or myriad others and Jacare has steel confetti for whiskers! He ate that Romero SBF and never lost consciousness! That was a kill shot on 97% of fighters including HW's! +600 is a helluva hedge or even great line if you like the Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

I'm hedging with it.

Tried to do some unbiased tape study as well (hopefully not too late 4u deep on Jacare) and I definitely see the reasons for picking Whittaker. But in all the fights I watched, his TDD never really looked THAT impressive. Good stats for sure, but the skills didn't LOOK like someone with 93% TDD. I'd say it's definitely a skewed stat.

But as hard as I tried I'm definitely still biased. Money is on Jacare and I've been saying he's the next MW champ for years, so I guess its just fingers crossed at this point and trusting my research

I think you guys need to get on my expert pick of Mendes taking 2 rounds off of Aljo for the win. Aljo struggles in the mid boxing range where Mendes is becoming vastly improved in considering how short hes been in MMA for. Mendes can also match him on the ground.

Aljo always talks about how hes going to make changes in his next fight but never does in the cage. Hes going to get put on his back if he starts spamming those kicks like he always does.

He could also be distracted by all the drama surrounding that Serra Longo team atm.

I'm on Mendes to also. I mean, Sterling just lost two in a row to fighters that are essentially clones of Mendes. Can Aljo pull off grapple-boxer trifecta and lose his third straight to what amounts to an amalgamation of the same fighter . At +330 I'm willing to take that bet. It's probably also note worthy that with his back against the wall and in danger of a pink slip, he might be even more hesitant then usual fearing his third loss and psychologically mindfuck himself where his output dwindled down to nothing. This is likely a fight that goes to decision and when the judges are taking 10 minutes to get it in the ring to Buffer I want the fighter that is +350

excuse me? Assuncao = Mendes clone? I remember that decision could have gone to Aljo too. I mean i thought Rafa won it was a close fight. Lmfao. Rafa's boxing and overall game is steps above Mendes. (maybe bjj excluded) Don't forget Mendes barely got past 36 yr old glass chin Saenz. I was the only one who predicted that Mendes would beat Saenz. Now I say he won't outstrike Aljo. Too much wishful thinking going on here lately firstly robert and now everyone suddendly on Mendes. meh

I mean odds wise you can bet on Mendes but to say that on paper Mendes is better is utter bullshit.

Is his record in Jungle Fights legit? Seem like he's been fighting veterans with good records since his debut, which gives an impression of an fighter who can really rise to the occasion and maybe do much better that expected here too. I have a 0,5 u bet on him at 2.8, but haven't yet dared to make it a full unit yet, as lines are getting closer and everybody seems to think, that he does not stand a change.

Jungle Fights is a GREAT promotion and the fighters coming up through it are almost always bad asses.

Former Jungle Fight competitors were :
Jose Aldo, Eric Silva, Warley Alves, Lyoto Machida, John Lineker, Michelle Prazeres, Renan Barap, Francisco Trinaldo,
Iuri Alcantara and a shit ton more but I can't remember off the top of my head. But they have a ton of animals that come out of that promotion

LOL ok, I shouldn't even reply to this but I will. You clearly didn't read my comment properly, maybe you should do that before getting yourself so upset. This is what I said in the comment you are referring too:

"He literally says he's fighting Whittaker to stay busy, seems like he's distracted, I don't think he's taking Whittaker as seriously has he should, the fact that he's taken this fight shows that he's probably underestimating Whittaker, there is not much to gain for Jacare if he beats Whittaker, there is huge risk for little reward."

Video description: 'Jacare' told MMAjunkie's Fernanda Prates that ha e's fighting a dangerous Robert Whittaker to stay busy while the division is held up by the Michael Bisping vs. Georges St. Pierre superfight.

The only fact I stated is that Jacare is fighting Whittaker to stay busy, which is 100% true. The rest is just my opinion which is also arguably true.

Yeah I don't want to start a big argument or long drawn out debate, but whether it was purposeful or just confirmation bias the post you made did make it seem as though Jacare was taken the fight lightly and you were backing it up with him having said he's just "staying busy" when that was clearly taken out of context. The inference you drew was incorrect — and very well could have been accidental — but nonetheless when I watched it it didn't seem to match up with what you wrote.

.... It reminds me of people who obfuscate for Donald Trump and advocate for the streaming load of bullshit he spews regardless of how much a lie it is. Like they take what comes through his mouth and then run it through a "MAGA filter" and have it come out to say something totally different than what he said lol Or else completely deny the facts that was in front of them like he does.

Also, like when you said that his striking looked stiff. Well, it was an open workout and I hardly doubt that he is coming out to put on a top-notch performance for the fans in a ridiculous work out FFS Rose took it so serious she involved her dog while Waterson her three-year-old daughter LOL. Hell, I remember when Minatauro could barely make it up the steps to the scales & was tripping over to put back on his jeans and everyone thought he was going to get murdered the next day. What happened was totally different as the next day he knocked Brendon Schaub clean the fuck out. Lol

Flyer or you actually really picking him?

ofcourse not if that was the case i would already have dropped my hole bankroll on it not just adding a bit more :) i am just betting the value as i feel like he have a much better chance then the odds suggest

This.

From a value standpoint you won't see me argue against a steep dog fighting a guy who has a tendency to give away rounds. But I thought Sterling maybe beat Assuncao and if not it was a damn close loss. Mendes doesn't have the handspeed or really any of boxing skills of RA. Sterling **should** win.

From reddit... no idea if this is true.

Michelle Waterson's left shoulder isn't 100%. She showed multiple treatments during camp, stating it was nothing serious. Her punches yesterday looked tense anytime she threw with her left. Look at the difference between left and right shoulder at the official weigh-ins. I'm probably reading too far into this.
