The movie was silly and BP himself is a boring superhero. Don't get the love.

First movie was trash. I'll still watch because it's connected to the MCU.

Yep. Both those characters should have been incapacitated, but left alive. They should have left Killmonger alive for the face-turn ala Nebula.

Killmonger showing up in Infinity War would have been great. They needed some heels to team up and show that this was a huge deal. They kill most of them off though.

First movie was really bad imo, so this isn't very exciting.

You didn't enjoy two invisible men fighting in the dark, stopping briefly to take off their masks to talk before vanishing into another invisible round of fighting?

I can't say that I did. Nor did I appreciate the rhinos and the poorly cgi'd impossible vertical bleachers.

BP was one of the best parts of Civil War.

He was pretty bland in his own movie though.

Black Panther won three Oscars. However, it didn't win best picture.

Rumor: Namor to Be the Villain in Ryan Coogler's BLACK PANTHER 2!

vh1mqDA.jpg

If Marvel’s standalone Black Panther film showed us anything, it was that the eponymous mantle is more than just a single person – like Batman, it represents a legend, one that can inspire hope in those who choose to believe in it.

For Ryan Coogler’s mega successful movie, it was Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa who became Wakanda’s loyal protector, fending off competition from Erik Killmonger and Winston Duke’s M’Baku as he seized the throne and was crowned the rightful king of the country. But just because all ended relatively well for him in the first pic, that doesn’t mean his troubles are over just yet.

The currently untitled Black Panther 2 is now in pre-production and though details on it are pretty scarce at the moment, we’ve been told that the general gist of the plot will revolve around Wakanda coming under attack from another ruler looking to take it under his/her control. And though Marvel was said to be deciding between a few different characters from the comics for who that ruler should be, they’ve now made their decision, apparently.

According to our sources – the same ones who told us that the real Mandarin will appear in Shang-Chi and Taskmaster will be the villain in Black Widow, both of which were later confirmed by Marvel – the studio has chosen Namor to be the main antagonist of Black Panther 2. The specifics of his role are still a bit unclear, but like we said above, the sequel will see him trying to take control of Wakanda and become its ruler.

As with any scoop of this kind, we imagine Marvel may deny it publicly as they so often do, but as we mentioned above, our sources are usually pretty reliable, so we feel fully confident in their intel. And while things can always change in the development process given how early on it still is, for now, it seems that Namor will finally be making his big screen debut in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther 2.

Namor finally in the MCU? So excited. And introduce as a villain to boot (which is the proper way to introduce him imo).

Namor's a great character. My only worry is they'll Nerf him, because in the comics he's way out of Black Panther's league. Even with the Vibranium suit, there's no way T'Challa could stand and bang with Healthy, Motivated Namor with, That Look in his eye.

I really hope they don't screw Namor up.
well i think DC really stole Marvels angle with Namor with their portrayal of Aquaman.

I am sure that is why they rushed Aquaman to screen. Tired of Marvel getting out characters first (Thanos, Deadpool, etc) even though DC characters were typically out first in the comics. Ironically Namor is one of the few Marvel characters older then the DC, knockoff.

DC Aquaman is typically played as a blond and very straight and geeky. Whereas Marvels Namor more swarthy and Mediterranean looking. DC going with Mamoa and making Aquaman cynical/funny is exactly how I would have cast Namor.

Now I think they need someone Batista like and make the character similar to Drax in that he has almost no sense of humour but ends up being the joke a lot for that reason but much more overly serious to a fault. And oh ya pompous. Namor has to be very pompous.

@Dragonlordxxxxx, need a link to your Namor casting and stuff again if you please. I want to see what your angles and thoughts are.

With Namor and Black Panther, Reed Richards and F4 cannot be far behind with the Illuminati Story lines.

Agreed. Namor bangs with the Hulk and Thing when fully motivated. Ya he gets his kicked at that level but he makes them work to do it.

but I do suspect he will be severely powered down to start. Heck Thor was, so I would not expect different.

Idk about that, Mamoaman was basically a frat guy with super powers.

Namor is more like the villain from that movie, if anything.

If Batman can beat Superman, Black Panther and whatever update they give to his suit can beat TRT Namor

Namor is cool and all (heh, fish guy) but I'm kinda worried about another takeover of the throne of Wakanda storyline so soon.

Getting vibes of Arrow's whole "Save the City" thing that got old real quick.

Seeing as this is Namor, I don't think he'll try to do it the way Killmonger did. He'll try to sink all of Wakanda into the sea.

Namor vs BP is gonna be so hilariously one-sided. Yeah, they're gonna nerf Namor bad.
