Greg Hardy is the "A level" athlete that was supposed to outclass the entire ufc roster?

Need fight iq in this game not only size and strenght. Need that A level mentality

It’s like his 4th fight ever.

/thread

That's a BS excuse, he had fuck all conditioning and was gassed to fuck.
The easiest thing to do is to be prepared to fight for 15 minutes. He should have gone into boxing as that's all he had, a bit of standup.

He's an outstanding athlete. He's already proven that he is.

Athleticism doesn't magically give you superb conditioning, you have to work your cardio constantly. It's apparent that he doesn't.

He looked slower and less coordinated than entry level heavy Crowder lmfao

There are plenty of NFL players who look like that though but yeah if people think of A Level athletes they all have abs and not a fat belly.
NFL plays go for what 5-10 seconds then they have a rest, you can't do that in the UFC and he was gassed to fuck after 1 round. He'll do nothing in the UFC.
Yeah but the reality is Hardy was never a A level Athlete. People keep failing to realize the Brock Lesnar had Combine numbers similar to JJ Watt who is a legit A+ level athlete, so we've already had an A level athlete in the UFC. Greg was never supremely athletic but he was a very skilled defensive End who usually won off of technique

Brock didn't need much MMA experience. Neither did Jones.

There's some truth to the A-level athlete stuff.

Training, heart, desire, experience, speed, cardio... there's many other factors besides athleticism obviously.

Hardy sucks, I didn't even know what he looks like before tonight. Obviously he wasn't going tot be a world-beater with barely any experience and no wrestling base.

Yes.

NFL games have an average of just 11 minutes of action.

There is more action in a three round MMA fight.

Put the football crap aside. The man looked pretty damn awful in there tonight against a fighter coming off a longish lay-off from a knee injury. Outside of an early flurry of punches Hardy had nothing for this man. For god sakes he was getting taunted.

He looked out of shape as all hell. Mix in a salad and a Pelaton session here and there you goof.

A level athlete with about 5 minutes of total cage time was dominating typical UFC level athlete with 15 pro fights
Seems like the point was proven to me
He surely wasn't dominating tonight. Thoroughly losing actually.

Well he was up 1.5 rounds in a 3 round fight... So unless something magically was going to happen from a position in which hardy was having standing side control of a guy that just failed his takedown because he was getting lit on the feet i really dont see what the fuck you are trying to say here.. The guy was wrestling all over the place as a HW and still was winning both rounds... Yet guys like Black beast get a title shot SMFH.

are people forgetting that matt mitrione played pro ball?
Matt Mitrione was an NFL washout that started MMa in his 30s
He was ranked top 10 and just knocked out who many consider the best HW ever with relative ease

he did almost nothing at HW and his game was ridiculously one-dimensional. and don't mention the fact that fedor was washed up beyond belief when he beat him.

if A-level athletes were so superior, then he would have dominated for years as a beltholder. hardy is going to look exactly the same.

this A-level shit is just silly. obviously the raw talent helps, but the training is what matters. put the 2 together and you get GSP.

He was winning the fight lol.

Also, please explain how having next to no experience going in to a fight in UFC fight is of no relevance...?

Lol at “bullshit excuse”. I wanted to see him get knocked out. Unfortunately, he proved that he is legit by holding his own as one of the most inexperienced fighters to ever enter the octagon.

The woman beater can fight. I think it sucks too, but you have to face the facts.
