Urijah Faber vs Ricky Simon at UFC Sacramento

I guess Faber wasn't completely shot when he retired, but I don't really know what he's hoping to accomplish with this.

I think he can probably beat this guy, but what does that prove?

NICE! Ricky will do his best to stop Urijah and either get a late stoppage or dominant decision win.
 
Uriah must be pretty confident. He was saying the landscape looked good to return, when BW is looking tough AF right now at the top guys.

Simon takes Uriah back to retirement.

Then him and BJ Penn can finally fight.
 
weird fight for urijah to take. ricky simon is someone who isn't relatively well known but is an extremely dangerous and exciting fighter. very tough fight for urijah, he only really has everything to lose and simon has everything to gain
 
Damn whats up with all these pros fighting past 40 years old? Dude should be playing golf or fishing.
 
Props to Faber for taking such a tough fight after a long lay off. Not much to gain for him other than winning in Sacramento. A lot to gain for his opponent. Props.

Dude looks like he should be 16 and skateboarding - he can do what he wants.
 
Faber looked washed when he left. The game has changed. No one is scared of his power right and blast double anymore.

Yahya is one of the best ever at BW to never win a major title, but he is old now. I feel Simon's win over Yahya was impressive, but he is still untested against the elite at 135.
 
Faber is forty years old, forty. He has crossed over to an age where extreme embarrassment could ensue. Faber will be slow by any measure at this age in this weight class. I wish these guys could leave it alone but I understand that money talks.
 
Fuck that.

Hope random man beats his ass in embarrassing way and Faber stays gone. He was too old and slow years ago.

faber hasn't been ko'd dead in his last 5 fights...and has taken very little damage in his career...he probably won't look as good as before...I think his style is too old to be effective..his standup was always shit and his wrestling has become old and ineffective.
 
UFC Sacramento is a complete garbage card. What is the point of Faber coming out of retirement? Just so the UFC can sell more tickets to the Sacramento market since that’s where Faber is from?

maybe, but Faber hasn't been hit in the head repeatedly by the likes of Rashad Evans and Rich Franklin, like Liddell. it might be competitive, but i doubt Faber wins it. fan or not, you gotta agree that California Love is maybe the best walkout song ever
