Andy Ruiz got paid $6 million as a late replacement. That's better than all UFC Stars except Conor

They needed a very late replacement and Andy has a good record and probably a good manager.........he was also ready to go and was supposed to just give Joshua a good fight and give the crowd their money's worth.......

The fight was for how many belts...........to be heavy weight champ $6 million is about right..........in boxing.

UFC fighters might as well all just move over to boxing and make that Andy Ruiz money then.

You can afford to pay that when your business model probably has a handful of people on a monthly payroll.

UFC employees hundreds of people daily and all the cost associated with that.

The only thing that matters is how much money they are earning...The UFC is earning a shitload of money and not giving their fighters a decent share....How old the sport is, is irrelevant.

As for low tier boxers vs low tier UFC fighters......The boxing model can be easily fix, just give the shitty fighters in a big card like 20k or whatever, not that huge of a change........The UFC model on the other hand, would mean the UFC would have to give $3 million + to the super stars......Stingy UFC wouldn't do that.

Until we know really know the UFC's cost of operating for a year it's hard to say. Boxing model does not come anywhere close of the operating cost that the UFC incurs over the course of year.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure they could afford to pay guys more. But to think 12 PPV shows they can afford to pay the top guys 10 to 30+ million combined and then periodically throughout the year pay some top guys 2 to 8 million on some shows is probably a stretch.

I’m sure if you were running the ufc you’d be smart enough to pay them a ton more. And I’m sure your owners will be like cool, pay as much as sherdog thinks they deserve.
Actually I would run it way better.

I would sacrafice throwing my kid a $1 million Birthday party

and instead use that money to pay fighters good wages that will get more athletes/kids to get into MMA, thus will further expand the UFC brand because it will attract higher talent.

But yeah bro...Im sure Dana White, the genius business man who was against TuF(The shit that saved the UFC), totally manages the money better.<Dany07>

What did conor make when he fought ?

Andy Ruiz is like Goliath from Fight Night Round 3. I'm still laughing at the result of this fight. I hope he wins the rematch too. Hell yeah Mexican powerrrrrr

When labor wins, it is at the exp3nse if the customer.

Boxing's organization is a corrupt disaster. I prefer the fan friendly monolith that is the UFC. Sorry commies.

Tell me what you’d pay fighters as boss and how you’d sell your genius business plan to the owners of the company.

You are an absolute nobody Serenity. The leftist arrogance of a loser thinking they can run a huge enterprise is staggering.

UFC pay is disgraceful and the ESPN deal is probably only going to make it worse
And if D Trump has taught us anything, it is that big business'es like Disney (owns ESPN) only make deals like that if they can win the trade. So yet again the fighters lose another battle for pay increases.
