UFC 239 - Jones vs Santos

It looks like a great bet, I was just curious what prompted such a strong/large play.

Do you think he can get it done within the distance here? His stoppage ratio is pretty damn high, with a nice mix of striking stoppages and subs. I wish I was on him last time out, he was a pretty big dog and I don't really remember many people being behind him for that one. He impressed me a lot for such a young fighter.

After watching Naurdiev vs DeJesus I gave him little chance against Prazeres, but like I said earlier we're seeing rapid improvements. I'm awful with ITD bets so not commenting on that.

Think all the favorites on the main win. Although most uncertain about Rockhold. Think he gets it done but Jan can box.. and crack...

Anyone like any dogs?
No. Parlay all the main card favorites.

Is Santos going to beat Jones? No.

Is Holly going to beat Amanda? Very likely no (however being recently divorced may be good for her but that is the only X factor)

Masvidal is not keeping Ben off of him and we know Ben can take a hit. 30-27.

Luke is a much more talented fighter and athlete than Jan. This should be easy for him.

Chiesa 30-27. Diego may have his moments but size matters. Pulling for Diego though.

Is Jan's best win Jared Cannonier? I think it might be... Luke is going to look so fast and smooth and sharp compared to a lot of these light heavy weights, a lot of them plod, they're stiff

Jan did get a knock down on Jaret with a jab though.. But didnt finish Jimi Manuaw so fuck knows what his power is like

Cuz he bet on himself @+400 to win via decision
Jones would have made more betting on a 5th round stoppage. Waaaayyy more than +400. Jones doesn't get stoppages because he doesn't like taking unnecessary chances. The idea that he could get stoppages but instead prefers to toy with his opponent is ridiculous.

It's true that Naurdiev will improve rapidly because of his age & inexperience. However, the Prazeres victory needs to be considered with the facts that Prazeres is a natural 155er & is getting old. I believe the upcoming fight with Rencountre will not be as easy as most believe.

Don’t forget this fight is at 205, meaning rockhold is barely cutting weight

I don't think Jan needs a KO to win, Rockhold likes to kick, just like Santos, and Jan was doing a good job of preventing Santos from fully utilising his kicking game and Santos clearly respected Jan, as he was not rushing forward. To me, that is a clear PTV. But there are levels to this shit, so maybe Rockhold will just outclass Jan, but I think Jan is a bit underrated from the time he had terrible cardio.

Besides that, it sounds like Rockhold is over-confident. His comments about Jan make me think he will take needless risks.

Have some parlays with everything won inside pending Naurdiev... Hope I don't get f'd.

Yep, I’m sure the $700 he was able to get down on that prop to return a cool $2800 was completely worth the additional risk :)

Would've loved to be a fly on the wall at the Jones' extended family's house that night. All those current (and probably future) NFLers with their By Decision bet slips in hand, slapping them against their massive thighs in delight.

Jan isn't some crazy hitter and is susceptible to low kicks on the feet which Rockhold can spam like he did to Romero.

And if he just hits TDs he should wreck Jan on the ground. He's been wrestle fucked plenty of times and we know what Rockhold is like on top.

Jan KO might be nice as a prop but pass on his ML for sure. He was still competitive with an aged Manuwa that stood and banged with him for 15 minutes. And if he hurts Rockhold on the feet he likely needs the finish or Rockhold can just takes him down and kill him like he did to Branch after he was stunned early by him.

Probably won’t have those issues at 205
Rockhold gets hurt cause his striking defence is shit. He always drops his right hand and goes chin high when pressured back make him wide open for a left hand over the top.

Going up in weight won't dramatically improve his striking technique and change that.

Wouldn't it be more profitable to play Chisea ITD? Gotta imagine it'll have a plus number next to it, and Chisea has shown what a dangerous sub artist he is time and again. Plus he's got underrated power in his very unorthodox punches... I see some kind of club and sub. Plus the fact that he liked dwarf Conduit last time out was startling... guys big. Really big.
Diegos sub defence is great and Chiesas striking sucks. As chinny and aged as Diego is now I would pass hard on Chiesas ITD. Could definitely see it just going to a one sided decision for Chiesa.

Don’t think David branch would drop him at 205
