This thread was inspired by an encounter I had today. I was running errands, and had a Cavalier JR Smith jersey on. He's been a favorite of mine since the Denver days (thanks to 2k) so I was excited when the Cavs acquired him...and eventually won the championship. This guy came up to me and said "Really? Out of all players, you chose JR Smith?"

That being said Zydrunas Ilgauskas is my all time favorite Cavalier, even over LeBron. Who are some of your favorite "non superstar" players, that you have enjoy watching?

Dallas Clark - No gloves no problem
Quinn Blanding - Went to school together
Barry j Sander - Wanted to see him play some more
Ryan Kerrigan - Not enough love for him and this is a 9ers fan
Marcus Lattimore - One of my 9ers fav of all time still have memories of that injury he got against the VOLS
Brandon Vera - LOL the used his posters to try to recruit for the wrestling team the school has

Tyler hansbrough- I loved his style from when he was at UNC, guy was a walking floor burn. Wiling to do whatever was asked of him if it meant getting the team in a position to win. Real "blue collar" style

Big fan of Sean Reidy:

Nothing flashy, but does plays well within his position and role within the team and always puts in the hard yards.

Secratariat - Sorry he was a superstar but still a little obscure

Andrew Ference aka Lil Ball of Hate:

I know he's in the Hall of Fame but the Mariner teams he was a part of always had Griffey, A-Rod, Ichiro, Randy Johnson on it too.

Mike Brown (former Bears safety). He’s also one of my favorite players ever.

Currently Eddie Jackson (Bears current safety)

I played Free Saftey and WR so I’ve usually got a favorite on the team from one of those spots. But usually I’m a defense guy so I’d say my favorite player on the team is on that side of the ball generally.

the god Rod Beck ill never forget my mom parked by where the players parked somehow and after the game when the players were walking out he was the only one to get out of his car to sign autographs and he also gave my gramma a huge hug.

Drazen Petrovic. Had he stayed alive, we would all be asking Michael who?

Paul O'Neill yanks right fielder just the ferocity he approached every game

Jeff fuller (49'ers ss) when Ronnie Lott says you hit hard af you're doing something right.

Kenny Lofton - Played for my favorite team (Indians) and is from my home state. My game was very similar to his: I was fast, played center, good batting average and was always the lead-off batter when I played baseball.
