It wasn't a cool thing to say, and is sure to trigger the fuck out of lots of people.
In his defense, it's been almost 20 years, and he isn't American and clearly doesn't understand the magnitude of the event.
It was not smart to say. But it wasn't meant to be an insult to America or the victims. It was just dumb to say.
Most people are reacting with fake outrage though and already didn't like Adesanya. If you are from or near the tristate area like me then you likely know someone or know someone who knows someone who lost their life. Again it should not have been referenced.
But I really don't believe those acting like they were "touched" so badly by this statement. That emotion they feel is the hate they already had.
