There are some other tweets about it. So did he cross the line or not?

That wasn't a good thing to say.

It was a pretty stupid, and insensitive thing to say, imo.

it was so out of left field cause its not even like yoel is american or from ny or something lol. just weird and disrespectful to make light of an event like that.

He is trying so hard to be new Conor 2.0 but lacks the charisma, fighting skills and wits. Cringe

Agreed. Not something to make light of. Not even a good reference. Yoel isn't even tall..

Makes more sense if it was Struve or someone..

Doesn’t bother me none... but there are enough sensitive people in today’s world I’m sure someone will take offense to it

He has always been a try hard when it comes to these things, a lot of it times it's weird and cringey shit

Comedy is a funny thing. If your joke is funny enough, no topic is off limits. If your joke sucks, you're an asshole.

Your joke sucked Izzy, and you are what you eat.

Iz is like a socially awkward nerd trying to come out of his shell.

It wasn't a cool thing to say, and is sure to trigger the fuck out of lots of people.

In his defense, it's been almost 20 years, he isn't American, and clearly doesn't understand the magnitude of the event.

Nothing to see here. He was alluding to the myth that Romero feels like steel. Twin towers were made of steel, yet they crumbled anyway. Simple as that. Just a stream-of-consciousness metaphor made on the spot by a non-American. Unfortunate phrasing but no offense intended.

Funny thing is, the people who get offended by this are the same people who bitch and moan about how you can't say anything anymore

Guy is finally coming out as a douchebag/cringe-bro.

He is what it would be like if an nerdy internet troll was actually a championship fighter.

Was funny for a bit but he needs to apologize - that is kind of fucked up to joke about.

It was not smart to say. But it wasn't meant to be an insult to America or the victims. It was just dumb to say.

Most people are reacting with fake outrage though and already didn't like Adesanya. If you are from or near the tristate area like me then you likely know someone or know someone who knows someone who lost their life. Again it should not have been referenced.

But I really don't believe those acting like they were "touched" so badly by this statement. That emotion they feel is the hate they already had.

I don't buy this. The entire world stood still. It was a global event. Yes, the impact was greater here, but anyone with more than two brain cells would understand that the joke wasn't appropriate.

Izzy is so scared he doesn't even have control of his words

Yeah that's retarded that he said that. Yoel hopefully puts him out..

I agree I don't think he was trying to insult anyone, it was just extremely insensitive and he most definitely should not have said it.
