As a fight fan, it was clear to me that Tony Ferguson got "Robocop"ed by Dana and the UFC...

Dana / the UFC purposely told Khabib that the fight " 99.9% will be in Abu Dhabi (UAE)":

Meanwhile, Dana / the UFC did not tell Ferguson's team the fight will be in Abu Dhabi, so his team remained in the US...

Khabib and his team flew out of the US, only to get stuck and couldn't come back.

And voila, a perfect setup and excuse to book Ferguson vs. Gaethje, a surprised opponent stylistically at the last minutes, who caught him off guard.

Tony, being the fighter that he is (just like officer Murphy) did not back down from a fight...

No shit!? Thought that was a given. Still thought Tony would do it, definitely weird to see him getting beaten up.

Dude Tony pulled out twice before. There's nobody responsible for that. The organisation of this one was a shitshow and it was bound to have fuck ups.

It's just like that. Tony fought someone who was better on that night. Now the problem is that he can't be one win away from a title shot like he should be because you got Conor mixed up in there, and the PPV revenue he brings is the equivalent of a 20 fight win streak sadly.

The UFC are not that competent to pull that off.

Tony should have refused to fight unless it was for the (real) belt next (the LW interim belt is ridiculous), but if he did that he'd get a backlash from the fans. He was in a tough spot. That said, the best fighter on the night won and Gaethje deserves the title shot next.

Let me guess, TS... the coronavirus is the flu, huh?

I think you're not giving enough credits to the UFC management team. They didn't get to where they are (4 billion $ plus in value) by being naive and incompetent that they "accidentally" gave "incorrect" info which led to the main event getting replaced.

In the video above, Khabib stated that Dana and the UFC told his team the fight will be "99% in Abu Dabhi." This caused Khabib and his team to fly out of the US and got stuck.

The UFC did not tell Ferguson and his team the same thing that they told Khabib's team.

Given the fact that Khabib is likely to be the biggest draw after Conor at LW now, I would have to think that the UFC would have preferred that the Khabib-Tony fight had hone ahead as scheduled. Especially when they could throw Conor or Gaethje at the winner.

Dana instructed Khabib not to fight, so he could book Khabib/Mcgregor.

justin ain’t getting the Khabib fight unfortunately, Khabib would get KO’d.

El cuck should have ducked like he usually does. He took the Justin fight because he thought it would be easy money.

Didn't the UFC also offer Khabib a private jet to get back into the US? AFIK Khabib wasn't refused to fly out the country by any Russian officials, he just refused not to (not saying I blame him, but I think he could have got back into the US if he really wanted to).

This was Dana’s plan. Get Tony out of there, is what he wanted. He succeeded. Maybe Dana knows more than the fans.

Yeah and Abdelasleeze gave Justin the inside scoop the entire time.

Well, according to ESPN, Khabib wasn't allowed to leave Russia:

In addition, the US was also on lock-down and did not allow flights coming from Europe.

Eh, doesn't matter.

Tony will take a year or so off and get Khabib on his return anyway.
