Speaking of which, I find the forum's love-in for Sandhagen a little strange. I haven't bet the fight because of the mass of high-level tape study required, but Sterling has made grapplers better than Sandhagen look amateurish (Rivera, Munhoz) and his striking is very comparable.

he escaped the first choke and basically put aljos arm under his neck... that was 100% fixed for BLM

Nah, Sandhagen is sort of lanky and Aljo is very strong in grappling. I thought it was a possibility but was hoping it won't be like this.

This is what happens when fights are hard to cap... bookies gave respect to Aljo all week and it made sense because the small cage helps the guy who needs to close distance.

A lot of that “scrambling” got negated once Aljo secured that demian Maia position. Aljo got straight to the weakness and that impressed me the most because I considered Aljo a guy who doesn’t have that ELITE to him like Sandhagen shows on the feet.
