Personalities of Non-English Speaking Fighters (Bilingual Bros GTFIH)

people usually attribute CTE with ninja. you sure you mean shogun.

Ninja retired early because of CTE so he has it for sure. But for me he sounds better than Shogun nowadays. Shogun might be the worst sounding, active fighter in the UFC.

I do agree but its really different. Wonderboy actually sounds like an intelligent person, Georges does not. WB might be the kind of person that is over the top nice sometimes but I always really liked him.

Someone else here said that Georges is socially awkward in french and that is 100% right.

To all the french people here, go listen to his visit at Sous Écoute with Mike Ward. Its actually the best I've seen Georges on camera ever. He looked pretty comfortable and I enjoyed it very much.

With all that is said about GSP in this thread, I've never found one person who didnt respect him. Everyone thinks he's a good fellow. Un bon jack like we say here.
Gotcha, i agree they are different. I think Georges is simply a nerd lol. A nerd you don't wanna mess with.

Anderson: crazy
Wanderlei: crazy but in a funny way
Royce: crazy
Werdum: funnier
Paulo Costa: articulate and smart. Good trash talker
Vitor: articulate but fake. Sounds like Mir
Nogueiras: proud and calm. Don't take losses well
Aldo: humble and shy
Lyoto: just like you imagine
Jacaré: a bit of a dick
Amanda: 60% crazy

Yes, the Rua brothers have terrible diction. It's hilarious.

Khabib? Is he cool? Is he self righteous? Is he humble? Is he fake humble? Is he as scary as he seems to us?
Answered about Khabib a couple pages back but will address your questions.

Is he cool? - not in the american sense of the word :p
Is he self righteous? - yes
Is he humble? - sometimes
Is he fake humble? - sometimes
Is he as scary as he seems to us? - not sure how scared you are but he's not a guy anyone would want to mess with, cage or street

So who's more... Problematic him or yan? Yan has shown ugliness in almost all instances I've heard or read his thoughts. Calling Sean a doll, calling cejudo... That word, etc. Who's worse between khabib and yan in that aspect?
To simplify:
Yan is a street thug who loves MMA.
Khabib is a mountain man, raised in an orthodox Muslim culture in a war-torn country.

Yan will happily play the trash talk game and walk the walk as well. Khabib will not play games but if you offend him he will come to smash your brains.

Seems... Exactly how I imagined him.

How's Joanna like in Polish? Also, thoughts on the Shevchenko sisters in Russian.
She's a more humble and frank. In English interviews she's just acting out a persona. She's still very confident and proud but not overboard.

Haven't watched any Shevchenko interviews.

You're not missing much. He's very elusive, contradictory. Definitely a guy with unresolved issues in his head.

I speak fluent Russian and Polish so...

Petr Yan comes off as a bit of a chav but it's because he was raised in a chav-ish city with crime and drugs being common. Actually, I am quite impressed that he has made it this far coming from an arguably shithole part of Russia. I will be rooting for him in the title fight.

Jan Blachowicz used to rub me the wrong way in KSW but he's gotten a lot more modest and serious about training in the UFC (probably gained perspective, he used to be a big fish in a small pond) and I find myself rooting for him often. He's developed an English sense of humor too, as evidenced by the recent trolling of Jones, haha.

Fedor used to be every Russian fan's sweetheart, so modest, so kind, so honest and frank. At some point he joined the Russian ruling political party tho and started responding with "God's will" to almost every question - both of these facts diminished my fandom. Russians still mostly root for him tho.

Aleks E. is just horrible. He's an insane, psychotic alcoholic. He's made friends with Kadyrov. He gets shitfaced a lot. Gets arrested and acts like that's a good thing. Talks mad shit all the time. Almost nobody likes him. Ugh.

Any other details you wanna know about anyone - ask me.
Does Datsik sound sophisticated?
Ohh and any info on Ignashov?
Seemed to struggle with booze

There listed as of "Italian descent" but I wonder whether that might be direct rather than long term and they grew up partly speaking Italian?

Gus speaks like a regular middle-class Swede - simple and straightforward. Also honest or critical of himself. He's kept the same tone when becoming prominent, which makes it endearing, as the upper class mannerisms are serious and even uptight in contrast. At those galas.

What about Dolph Lundgren?

There a clear difference in accent and some minor changes in vocabulary like numbers etc. But everything is perfectly understandable

Swiss French accent is slower than regular French, Swiss accent sounds dumb. Belgian accent is harder to describe, harsher on vowels and the ending of words. It's instantly recognisable, for a french anyway. But unlike Swiss French it doesnt sound dumb or anything like that.
