A million dollars for an "appearance" is not a normal thing. Its nothing for a handful of MMA fanboy royals to pitch a million or two in each and get it done. Its totally possible.

Also you can hold a boxing match on a boat by having the boat anchored and doing it on a good weather day.

I think a lot of people don't understand how rich some of these people are. This sort of money is literally nothing to them. This rich arabs wouldn't even be able to comprehend the idea of some of these lower paid fighters making only 50k.

This isn't rocket science guys. UFC needed someone to fill in and met Mas partway into his original demands which is what he said in an interview. The Saudis didn't chip in shit.

It's not goofy. There's been a lot of crazy reports already in the past, like wanting to throw 100m at Floyd vs Khabib:

The Saudis also set up AJ vs Ruiz 2 outbidding everyone else, with Joshua making several tens of millions. Definitely wasn't for free. So it's not crazy that they will throw money at the UFC to get one of the biggest events in UFC history.

It's also possible that they were paying the UFC so much money already, that giving Mas a bigger cut of the PPV money wasn't a big deal to Dana. But it's not a crazy possibility that the sheiks put some extra cash in.

UFC was up the creek they probably had a contract to deliver 3 title fights, they gave Masvidal more/most of what he wanted.
