But people seem to be counting Rozenstruik out mostly or as if Gane is a much better striker than Rozenstruik when Rozenstruik only has one loss in MMA to Ngannou who hits much much harder than Gane.

Rozenstruik is 76-8-1 in kickboxing with 64 kos and has a win over Benjamin Adegbuyi. On the other hand, Gane is 7-0 in kickboxing with 5 kos.

I think Rozenstruik hits much much harder than Gane. Rozenstruik has 91 percent ko rate whereas Gane has 43 percent ko rate.

Only God knows Gane wouldn't have been ktfo by Ngannou if they fought, and if they fought before that fight it would have been an undefeated 10-0 MMA fighter with 91 percent finishing rate with much more extensive kickboxing resume.

Kinda odd how Gane's chances are talked up so much going into this fight. I mean he's prob faster, more atheltic, and probably better grappling game, but it's not like he's Cain or Stipe either when it comes to wrestling.

Agreed, I think it's a bit weird how a lot of people are counting Jair out. It's mostly due to the huge amount of hype on Gane I guess. But Rozenstruik has a BIG power advantage here, and he has the technical skill and experience to land with that power. Gane is super athletic and extremely technical for a guy with as little experience as he has, but I've got my money on Rozenstruik in this one.

Yeah this fight should be a pick’em. Jair is a really good counter striker. It’s extremely likely he catches Gane as he comes in. I wish I could bet

It's having eyes. Rozen was so close to losing to Oldereem. Gane would eat him alive. Gane danced circles around JDS, while JDS was more competitive vs Jair.

Yes because Gane is K1 GP champ who beat HAri and ADCC Europeane champ.

Jair lost to Francis the way he did and people jumped ship on him but he's still one of the most dangerous and heavy punchers in the division.. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Yeah Gane said something like he's going to display his array of skills not just striking but his complete game in this fight.

Well obviously he would WANNA do that. Overeem has pretty good TD game when he wants to wrestle. He did that against Crocop. He did that against Sergei. And the list goes on. He went 2/10 against Rozenstruik.

stop nerding out on kick boxing records for a moment and look at their recent fights , Gane's faster , actually uses his kicks , is strong in the clinch , has well rounded wrestling and submissions, and has a nice jab along with reach advantage . Bigi Boy looked horrible in his fight against Reem despite his last second punch and is basically just gonna try to counter with a left hook . Hilarious that sherdog actually picked him to win ill bump this when he gets styled on . Either that or ill look like an asshole when he gets knocked out haha
My face if that happens: <Eek2.0>

Gane is not the type of fighter to over commit to anything.
If Roz wants something to happen he will need to go forward amd attack first. Otherwise Gane will be happy to outkick him from outside for 25 minutes and coast a decision.

Small octagon tho.

Ubereem just bullied people to the ground.
Oldereem has nowhere near the offensive grappling

To be fair, Oldereem (I dig it) is a superb fighter with arguably the best skillset in HW. He also looked fresh as a daisy against Rozenstruik, unlike the stiff grandpa that fought Volkov. Beside that, Volkov will 99,51% be the HW champ within 2 years, so that loss wasn't that bad for Oldereem (I still like it)

What you overlook is Gane's trajectory. He is only 7-0 in muay thai and KB but that's within 3 years from the first time he stepped in a Muay Thai gym. The guy became world class muaythai/kickboxer in less than 3 years, started MMA and became a top10 UFC fighter again in less than 3 years.
He is very special.

That said, if he makes the same mistake against Jarzinho that he did against JDS at the end of round 1, where he got caught clean by a left hook, it will be nite nite for him.

Gane's chin is green as fuck, never been rocked or anything. And look at the size of his neck and trap, AND that skin foils at the back of the head. Guarented he can take more than one shot from bigi, he is not a dinausore whose chin has been cracked before like Arlovski, overeem, jds ..

Everyone is trying to jump on the Gane Train a little too quick. So Roz had a tough time with Overeem and got Caught by Francis early on. Hes alot more experienced and durable than anyone Gane has fought( besides JDS) and I havent seen a whole lot from Gane that has me thinking hes the next HW star. He hasnt beat anyone special and catching a past prime JDS with a back of head elbow wasnt worth much. He kinda reminds me of Travis Browne. He might get a few good wins and make some waves and might even get past Roz but i doubt he will be a threat to the top 5 and would even bet on Lewis or volkov to beat him
