Who's the best black wrestler ever besides The Rock?

2 Cold Scorpio

Runner up - Ice Train

Booker T, Ernie Ladd, JYD, Butch Reed

What do you have against Savannah Jack?
I don't really remember him. I moved from texas in 1988 or so, so he probably came right after i left. I know bill watts was in the mid south, and not sure how the affiliations worked, but i always remember paul boesch kicking off the shows on saturday night

I'm a little surprised to see so many JYD shout-outs. He was a fun character but he didn't show much in the WWF. He was so much better during his Big Daddy Ritter / territory days when he was younger and cared enough to stay in shape.

Anyway, I guess to answer TS' question I'd probably go with Booker T.

Booker T was wonderful to watch in WCW imo.. off the top of my head I like Keith Lee ATM, Vicera was a great jobber..Farooq is a great shout..Konnan had his moments, same with R truth..Stevie Ray was decent.. Booker T wins though imo.

He was in the Mid South/UWF in 86-87, won the TV title, managed by Skandor Akbar, feuded with Chris Adams and Terry Taylor
If you were watching Paul Boesch's show then you definitely saw him, guess you just werent very impressed

He was JYD during his territory days when he was one of the hottest babyfaces in the country and had Louisiana on fire, maybe thats what they were referring to

Yeah, that's a fair point. I forget he actually did work prior to WWF as JYD for several years.

but really, Ron Simmons

Oh come ON. New Jack's quotes alone make him the best ever.

iu

"They tried to say I stabbed him sixteen times. I did not stab him sixteen times, I stabbed him nine times. I counted."

"Vince is the biggest pimp on record in the world. The ring is the track, and we da hoes! When your ho done got so many miles on her little snatch, you push em out the way, and bring in some new hoes. And whateeeever pimpmaster Vince say, you go do it. 'Please Mistuh Vince! I'll do anything for you to keep my job....MAMMY!!"

"I hit him with the tazer and he said 'I can't feel my legs, Jack.' I said 'Oh don't worry, you ain't gonna need em. Bombs away!"
The 3rd one, I laughed so hard during that episode of DSoTR.
