I wish I could have the courage you do to regurgitate the bipartisan foreign policy consensus. Couldn't imagine going out on such a limb, real bravery there.
I take issue with stuff like that vid of a dad telling his like 8 year old to run at IDF soldiers with a Palistenian flag “so they can shoot you”. Just what an awful piece of shit that man is.

Pretty sure similar shit happened during “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland.

Finally!! Someone with the integrity to call out abhorrent behavior.

Do you think the best way to open a discuss about that video is attaching it to a post that says Palestinians don’t deserve to exist?

The content of the video is what I'm interested in.

Not, his disgusting comments. Have you seen the video? What are your thoughts?

I understand but the messaging surrounding these issues are very important. The language of dehumanizing is humiliating, how would you feel if people used videos to tell you your people shouldn’t exist?

Of course no one agrees with that but we have Down Syndrome Warrior here thinking he's sharing groundbreaking stuff by posting tweets from Hindutva accounts.

SDW always does this bullshit, on any issue where there's some real discussion to be had he'll find the craziest take that makes the left or whatever cause they're in favor of look bad and then incessantly use it as some kind of litmus test.

"D-Do you condemn this?! Dis bad, no?"

So yeah I have no patience for that.

To answer your question I watched the video, there is no context to it but it’s hard to watch and very upsetting. Does that mean Palestinians don’t deserve to exist? Or that they do deserve to die? No and that’s the conclusion being drawn from the tweet you posted.

I literally said "MJ but no Prince? Hmmm" <45>

That's what I don't get about these lists, what are they quantifying as "shaking up the world"? Biggest? Most influential? They mention Duke Ellington as the embodiment of Jazz, but when I think Jazz I think Davis and Trane. MJ over Prince is understandable, but i'd select both. Serena over someone like Jack Johnson is sacrilege. Stevie Wonder could easily be James Brown, George Clinton, Luther Vandross, or Aaliyah. Actually the lack of mention of Aaliyah rubs me the wrong way. Honestly, I just hate the format.
Stevie is my GOAT. Just saying. Great post though @Falsedawn i agree with you

Marvin and Paul Robeson should be on there obviously.

You know who ain't? This is pure, effortless Greatness that sends a god damn chill up my spine, @A Lurker. It's absolutely bonkers, one in a fucking billion type talent and written by none other than Stevie Wonder.

I had no idea about this, @Falsedawn.

When Angela Davis was jailed in 1970, Franklin told Jet: "Angela Davis must go free... Black people will be free. I've been locked up for 'disturbing the peace' in Detroit and I know you got to disturb the peace when you can't get no peace. Jail is hell to be in. I'm going to see her free if there is any justice in our courts, not because I believe in communism, but because she's a Black woman and she wants freedom for Black people."

...or this @Limbo Pete.

Franklin was a strong supporter for Native American rights. She quietly and without fanfare supported Indigenous Peoples struggles worldwide, and numerous movements that supported Native American and First Nation cultural rights.

As I was sayin'...

To be clear when I said Stevie was GOAT I meant for musicians. George Clinton would be next. I wasn’t comparing him to Muhammad Ali or Frederick Douglass.

@Trotsky

Just as I said to you that the thread wasn't that bad, a certain erratic Lounge regular jumps in and starts posting some pretty suspect tweets. Here's one from a guy who has "lover of LIFE" and "Dealer of happiness" in his Twitter bio

Just like like Han supremacists in China love Israel so too do right wing Hindu nationalists. They all have a shared love of ethnic cleansing of Muslims.

Can anyone verify that that’s for sure what the father said?
