Post your top 10 boxers from the last 25 years 1995-2020 era

Ok. I will (because I like the thread idea). You need to explain to me though how you have Canelo, Ward, Toney and Lewis above Pac. I won't even bother with Calzaghe.
I already explained why Canelo is high, dude is the modernday armstrong, the only thing is he took steroids and failed twice, so I can understand if you wouldn't put him higher.

I love Canelo but he's not quite in my top 10. Explain the others

Why don't you have Canelo in the top 10? Isn't his feats more impressive than MAB, JMM?

Is it the failed drug tests?

MAB is criminally underrated. I know people hate Naz but the way Barrera embarrassed him was unreal. Just look at the list of the guys he fought. Even the Juarez he took on was supposed to be world class.

In terms of Canelo, he'll get there. It doesn't bother me a lot but it certainly comes into play if I'm putting him up against MAB. I honestly think he'll finish in the top 5 of this list in 5 years

Barreras win over Prince Naseem was his highlight. I was a Prince Naz fan and got gutted when he lost that fight he got schooled bad wobbling all over the place.

I'd put Morales above Hamed but it was impressive

I watch Barrera's fight with Hamed all of the time. MAB son'd the Prince all over the ring that night.

Do you believe JMM ducked El Terrible? I do. Its a shame they never fought. Only Pacquiao and Barrera fought them all.

Pac fought MArco, ERik, and JMM
Marco fought Erik, Pac and JMM

We missed out on Morales vs Marquez that would have been one of the all time scraps too even if they met at 140. I still dont get my JMM never entertained a fight with Erik later on

I'm going to assume that when you mean 1995-2020 you mean "fights between 1995-2020" not fighters who happened to fight then (IE: Duran fought a few times in the late 90s, but he was well past his best at htat point).

Something like this (no order):
Pac
Floyd
Ward
Chocolatito
JMM
Hopkins
ODLH
Nelo
RJJ
MAB

next five (also no order): Pongsaklek, Morales, Lennox, Cotto, Estrada

edit: Cotto instead of Shane, knew I was missing someone

That's tough. I think it was mostly an ego and pissing match. All these guts hated each other and never wanted to give an inch. Will all the names on their resumes it's tough to use that term.

Shame we missed out on that fight
