Post your top 10 boxers from the last 25 years 1995-2020 era

1. jones

rest are no order:
pac
floyd
canelo
hopkins
calzaghe
ward
lennox
tony
delahoya

On accomplishments mainly, Roy was the most talented. By 95, Whitaker was on his way out.

1. Mayweather (5 weight champ, 50-0, beat 23 champions)
2. Pacquiao (8 weight champ, most exciting fighter of all time)
3. Jones Jr (won a title at freaking heavyweight, started at 154, most naturally gifted boxer ever)
4. Hopkins (20 middleweight defences, won light heavyweight title as an old man, oldest champ ever)
5. Marquez (3 weight champ, Pacquiao's nemesis, one of best combo punchers ever)
6. Canelo (4 weight champ, amazing combo puncher, great defence and offence)
7. Calzaghe (21 super middleweight defences, won light heavyweight title too)
8. Ward (2 weight champ, won super 6 tournament, first guy to beat Kovalev)
9. Golovkin (20 middleweight defences, cleaned out his division multiple times, only one highly disputed loss)
10. Lewis (besides two blips which he avenged, he was the most complete heavyweight in a strong era, beat everyone he faced from Holyfield to Vitali Klitschko.

De La Hoya could easily be in there along with a few others. Canelo will probably catch Marquez within the next year and maybe even get as high as #3 (on accomplishments).
I don't see how you can have GGG ranked in the top ten of the era. Not enough big wins IMO. I guess it's down to how legitimately you see the canelo fights as draws/losses, but when you assess purely the wins and draws, I don't see what stands out on GGG's resume more than what's on the resume of DLH or Roman Gonzalez or even somebody like Wonjongkam (if I want to be a little more controversial), really can't see him fitting into the top ten.

not tryna start petty shit here, just have a hard time seeing it, and I say that as somebody that thinks GGG beat Canelo the first time.

You make one shit post after another then ask other people to act "normal" in your garbage ass posts? What a delusional prick
relax brother, hate and anger is not good. No need to get angry and hostile, like I said contribute if you will its a good discussion no need in developing hatred for someone you dont know and has a different opinion its not healthy.

I don't hate you, you aren't worth those emotions. You're just unintelligent.

You respond always with anger and vitriol. Dont lie man thats the worst when people pretend they are not fuming with anger when they clearly are. All i say to you is save your anger for evil, not people who just have different opinions

What a delusional troll you are
Bro let it go, you built up a hatred for someone you dont even know in real life. Why do you hold grudges like a spiteful woman?
Just respond normally you keep going into my threads attacking and not contributing. Its pathetic to hate someone you dont know lol seriously

I'm going to be honest, Tidwell is getting better at trolling. It's still beyond pathetic - and I'd be genuinely concerned if I knew this guy in real life - but he at least put some thought into this one.
tidwell is one of those weirdos in trenchcoats that go up to you and ask you if you want to see his porno mags except instead of a porno mag he's showing you an ESPN article from 2005 written by a pre-prime Rafael arguing that Naz would run over Pac if he came back from retirement.

@TidWell the type of guy to order at the drive-in and then eat the food in the restaurant.

This is actually a half-interesting topic if we ignore him. If we exclude those who turned pro before 95:

Floyd
Pac
Ward
Chocolatito
Canelo
Wlad
Cotto
Golovkin
Donaire

Having a lot of trouble with the 10th spot. Vitali, Estrada, Martinez, Lomachenko, Usyk, and Froch are some candidates I can think of.

I'd be interested to hear why on Donaire. Hell of a puncher but always thought of him as massively over-rated

The type of dude to do a drive by and donate the gun to a church.

It is a good topic though. It's such a subjective list.

Take into account accomplishments, feats, and skill etc. from 1995 to 2020 who do you guys have.

1 - Floyd Money Mayweather (needs zero explanation consensus the GOAT of the last 30 years beating everyone)
2 - Roy Jones Jr
3 - Bernard Hopkins
4 - Canelo Alvarez (Modern day Henry Armstrong going up and down in weight as a smaller man defending his belts, his steroid usage failing twice, puts an asterisk on him, but in terms of accomplishment he fought killers from 154 to 175 pounds and knocking them out)
5 - Lennox Lewis
6 - Oscar De La Hoya
7 - Andre Ward
8 - James Toney
9 - Wladimir Klitschko
10 - Joe Calzaghe

1. RJJ
2. Floyd Mayweather
3. Bernard Hopkins
4. Oscar Delahoya
5. Manny Pacquiao
6. Lennox Lewis
7. Marco Antonio Barrera
8. Tito Trinidad
9. Evander Holyfield
10. James Toney

Mostly because I'm running out of guys to place over him who turned pro past 95. He's not a guy I was ever all that high on despite his achievements across weight classes, but those achievements still mean a fair bit relative to other fighters if I'm weighting resume over other things.

De La Hoya

Wlad, Toney, Calzaghe, Ward, Mosley, Cotto, Canelo and several others are worth an honorable mention.

Valid point. I was shocked to see Whitaker listed and he's one of my favorite fighters. He was basically retired by then
