Post your top 10 boxers from the last 25 years 1995-2020 era

Fighters who were still top level sometime past 95 (but based on achievements prior to 95):

Floyd
Pac
Pernell
Hopkins
Roy
Holyfield
JMM
Lewis
Oscar
Ward

I'm excluding Chavez as I don't think he could be called top level past 95, but if I did include him, he'd be somewhere 4-6. Morales and Barrera just miss, but if you asked me another day, they'd likely get in.

it's a losing battle ;)

I also really wanted to put Choc on the list. I know he's had mixed success at his current weight but at FLW he might have been the P4P king. It was like watching someone paint a masterpiece any time he was in the ring, and undoubtedly he would have gone past 50-0 had he stayed at that weight, but instead he wanted to challenge himself and moved up.

It's a bit interesting going through these lists and noting the birthdates. Very strong generation born in the 60s. Definitely much more depth in the 60-78ish gen than the one afterwards. Any talks about generational competence is the last thing I want (as in the tired ones that commonly take place on the internet), but it's always interesting to make note.

A top 10 list by weight classes would really be interesting but take so much time. This ironically (not intentionally) is the best topic here in a while though.

Like the old ESB one. If we limited voting rights (lol), I wouldn't mind trying one like they tried back then. There would have to be clear parameters, because I know a lot of people don't like anything pre 50s (or some people pre 70s, even), which is fair enough.

Yep. Max had one too (pretty sure you were active there as well). I'd participate and pretty sure a few others would to make it worth the time.

I wasn't there, but I love the idea.

Sounds like a great idea but that would take some time to come up with. I'm all for it though.

I think it's much better than banning him. He contributed to the first collaborative thing this community has done in a minute. He should be proud for being such a cunt so as to motivate people.

Well said. It takes some effort to get us to use our minds on a positive topic. I stand by my assessment though. Boxing fans are the most intelligent (and lazy) of any sport.
