Mel Gibson or Kurt Russell

Love both but imo Kurt Russel’s movies are more rewatchable. Mel might have made better movies but outside of the Lethal Weapons and Payback I’d rather watch Kurts movies over.

Obviously BTILC, Escape From NY/LA, Tombstone, and The Thing are his big ones but then there Tango and Cash, Executive Decision, Stargate, Captain Ron, Overboard, Hateful 8, etc.

Mel may have better movies, but Kurt's are more entertaining to me.

Hard to choose. Probably Mel as I rewatch more of his films but Kurt has some serous classics. I even like the one with Goldie Hawn where she lost her memory.

Movies of Mel I liked and have seen

1. Lethal Weapon
2. Maverick
3. Lethal weapon 4
4. Ransom
5. Patriot
6. What woman want
7. Signs

Kurt Russell

1. Escape from NY
2. The thing
3. Big trouble
4. Tombstone
5. Death proof
6. Bone tomahawk
7. Hateful 8
8. Guardians 2

Kurt Russell for me

I've always thought they should do a movie together.

Mel, by just a tad bit.

Gibson has a gift for directing, and is a decent actor.... but I realized last year Russell the best part of ALL the movies I like that he happens to be in, and across genres.

The Thing (a true classic)
Escape from New York (just amazing schlock)
Big Trouble/Little China (Probably one of the funniest protagonists of the era and meta)
Hateful 8 (great character acting and ruined a classic guitar)
Tombstone (amazing)
Overboard (stupid fun)
Deathproof (amazing character acting)
Captain Ron (stupid and fun)
Tango & Cash (ironically amazing)
Backdraft (nostalgia dumb greatness)

Gibson being such a gross racist makes it easier to kick him out, but honestly I'd give him the boot anyway against Kurt.

Mel Gibson in a landslide.

Payback alone is reason enough.

Road warrior is reason enough.

Lethal weapon s 1 or 2 are reason enough.

Then add Braveheart.

Fuggedabout it.
Mel's got a lot of good ones:
The Patriot
Mad Max
What Women Want (lol)

Big Trouble in Little China and Tombstone will be sorely missed, but Mel's filmography is one of my favorites of any actor
