- In a promotional video for Fast & Furious 9 to a Taiwanese audience, Cena said this : "Taiwan will be the first country to see 'Fast & Furious 9,"

-
Chinese netziens became enraged

- Cena then profusely apologized to China and the Chinese netziens.

He then stressed that "I love and respect China and Chinese people." Cena went on to say that he was "very sorry for my mistake" and reiterated his love for China and Chinese people.

- But Chinese netziens weren't satisfied.

However, many Chinese netizens were not satisfied by his apology because he did not mention their perceived status of Taiwan:

"What mistake did you make, please explain what it was."

"Foreign slaves are disgraceful."

"Changed his tune just for money, get the hell of China."

"Actually, it's better to post a video in which you say that Taiwan is a part of China. Apologizing is useless."

"When he's in Taiwan Province he says it's a country, when he's in China he says he respects Chinese people. He's two-faced and I don't understand why Chinese people are so lenient with him."

"China cares most about territorial issues, this is our bottom line."

"Unless you say in Chinese, 'Taiwan is part of China,' we will not accept your apology."

Wish these celebs would stop effin kow towing to the CCP and Chinese nationalists. Cena is rich and would still make bank even if he pissed off Chinese nationalists, but far too many rich people are too god dam greedy.

Cena was in essence the corporate spokesman for the WWE for decades. Including during the Chris Benoit incident.

Bootlicking is kinda his thing. Lol at anyone expecting anything else from him. It's all he knows.

Typical celebrity BS ; the vast majority of them are only 'speaking out' against entities within free democracies because they can easily posture and grandstand without any repercussions.
So much easier than speaking against CCP and their wicked ways.

I know I am going to get flamed for this but one of the qualities I admired about Trump is that he did not apologize. He took it to far and never apologizes even when he actually was in the wrong. That said I respect the fact he never apologizes on these issues where most people would apologize just to appease the crowd. It seems most famous people go to is to apologize for a minor slip of the tongue or saying something that is correct but unpopular. I'd respect them more if they would not apologize even if it is something I disagree with.

In this case Cena isn't apologizing because he fears getting cancelled by a woke social media campaign or a liberal media, he is doing it purely for financial reasons; no doubt prodded strongly by the studio heads.

I think I speak for Sherdog as a company when I say go fuck yourself China.

And I think I speak for China when I say 'shut your punk ass up before we come over there and drop another plaque in you b*tches.'
