Social High School student gets Diploma denied for wearing Mexican flag at Ceremony

A North Carolina high school student was denied his diploma for wearing a Mexican flag over his graduation gown.
Ever Lopez draped a Mexican flag over his blue gown at Asheboro High School's graduation ceremony Thursday night.
Video footage from the ceremony shows the principal ask him to take the flag off. After an unsuccessful attempt to take it off, he was denied his actual diploma.

The incident has sparked outrage and led to a protest outside the school Friday. However, the school district insists that Lopez's actions "violated the ceremony's dress code" and "the incident is not about the Mexican flag."

You realize almost no one was living there? Think there were 10,000 hispanics total in areas that were annexed by the USA My family didn’t hop the border the border hopped them.

Lol. Every single person in my graduating class had a beer cap in our hand when we shook the principals hand and palmed it to him or flat dropped it. He had to keep passing them to the vice principal and he didn't have a garbage on stage so he had to keep chucking them off the side of stage.

Dress codes at graduation are normal. Everyone would have been well aware of not receiving diploma if broken. He will get it in the mail.
