Has anyone watched the recent fight? I saw the fight on tv and though it was intresting to seem him in a proper fight for once. I heard news the Amir should have lost the fight due to the refs bad 10 count. What do you guys think?
Plus do you think Frank warren protects his fighters too much?

Khan got off the deck to win after being very unsure of what to do when he got hurt. That's a good sign for him, because if his early fights are any indication, he's going to have to do that a lot when he faces someone with a punch (Limond is not a puncher by any stretch, either).

Khan has tons of skills and charisma, but his jaw is very shaky, IMO

He has got knocked down by light punchers, which is a bad sign. If you mention that to an English boxing fan, they just start yelling about prejudice and how he's 19 (20?) though.

You got it, man. You can't say anything about him to Brit fans. LOL!

It seems like he's alread a celebrity in the UK though. When I was waiting for a plane at Heathrow, I browsed through his autobiography in a bookstore. 17 seems pretty young to be writing an autobiography, but I guess they're fairly desperate for a young Muslim-British hero over there.

a stronger puncher than limond would have finished khan when he had the oppurtunity, but when khan come out the next round he pretty much battered limond. Limonds corner were right to stop it, he had broken he`s cheekbone and would have been hurt bad imo. If khan takes another step up in competition he had better beware, because he didnt look like he handled getting ruffed up well, warren is protecting him a bit because he sells tickets and has a good reputation from the olympics, similar to dana and mike bisping [ tuf not olympics].

Nah i would say that at all the average bloke in the street maybe but any Brit who's a boxing fan knows he has a dodgy chin. I'd like to think he has potential to do well but i think he's a long way off from anything big just yet.

As for the fight, it was pretty entertaining and he did well to come back the way he did. But i dont think many believe he's going to be challenging for a world title just yet.

As for the hype he's promoted by Warren the master and he's muslim and theres a large young modern muslim population looking for someone to look upto in something mainstream. Perfect recipe for someone like Warren to make alot of money.

u can have a glass jaw and still be a top guy look at terry norris and marlon starling (i might be thinking of the wrong guy)

You are right about Terry Norris (although Julian Jackson probably caused permanent damage to his chin not to mention all the gym wars he supposedly had). Marlon Starling did not have a glass jaw. He got hit after the bell with his guard down by Thomas Molinares, his jaw was just fine. Tommy Morrison was pretty successful at HW with a glass jaw.

The guy has what? 12 fights? Get off his sac.

I wish Frank Warren would get hit by a bus.

The ref gave him a 13 count from the point that the timekeeper started it, kahn went back down to his knee at 8 and came back up at 10 and the ref gave him a further 3 secondseven after that, you dont go back down and get to carry on let alone a that point in the count. The ref was a homer.

Somebody needs to post a link to the knockdown, I've been searching all the sites and still no luck>:icon_conf
