I see, that makes sense. Wouldn't there be a risk with allowing small tussles like this to happen uninterrupted too? If one side starts using violence and mob threats how long until the other side does too? I'm not terribly familiar with how the police respond to situations like this, but I'd love more insight.

Generally, once things come to blows you have two options-1. Get on it right away and break it up with a show of force and arrest those involved. 2. Let them swing at each other and get tired and realize they really don’t want to fight.
I always preferred 1 but when you are greatly outnumbered or things can get real bad real quick, sometimes 2. Is the way to go. I have let people fight just a bit before breaking them up because then they are tired and if they try to fight us, they are already at a great disadvantage

I'm white, put me in a dark room with 20 black people and every single one of them would correctly guess my race if I spoke. Absolutely nothing racist about it. People tend to sound like their race when they speak, same goes for all other ethnicities. I guarantee I could tell if a guy in a dark room was black even if he was speaking like an ambassador. Its all in the tonality and depth of voice. Obviously there's exceptions but not many.

I would be the one to walk off and maybe bait someone into attacking me. I am not a verbal confrontation type of guy. I would hold a sign that said “i am not against trans people, but women should be free from seeing a penis and feeling unsafe while they change in a locker room” and if someone came after me or my sign, they would actually meet resistance. But then, I don’t protest or go to these things. I would maybe do a back the blue event if one started locally

Voice inflections and speech patterns are pretty easy to differentiate. I think it was a joke, but I didn’t need to know any more about her to know she was a black female. I am surprised once that info came out they didn’t apologize to her

I don’t think the police protect antifa at all. They hate them with a passion. They just simply don’t arrest because a it is more trouble than it’s worth dealing with these asshole or b the charges are dropped by shitty prosecutors. Where they exist, every fucking city is afraid of them so they take no action which only makes things worse. It absolutely disgusts me. I would love to see a group that has no affiliations with any far right the groups or trunk come out and stand up to them-someone to stand up to them. So far, only the proud boys snd similar groups have done so and their ranks are filled with assholes

And while it's not a cop problem per se there are a number of examples of the authorities going after people who stand up to the left wing mob.

I had to protect people I hated as well. You can’t just let them get their asses best in front of you. I had a guy that kept calling me out one night later get his ass beat. I kept separating them and he turned and said he was going to fuck me up. I tackled him and then got kicked in the face three times. I would have preferred to let him get his ass beat but I just couldn’t
