I keep hearing analysts and fighters alike saying Conor just got mauled by Poirier in this last fight, but in watching it back, it doesn't seem that way. Conor in fact won the first two minutes of Round 1. Dustin won the second two minutes, but not as dominantly as some claim, imo. He was hitting Conor with GnP, but not all of it connected and go back and watch how many solid blows (elbows, upkicks, punches) Conor landed on Dustin, definitely affecting Dustin.

Conor did end up getting out of that position, as well, not a small feat and was on the attack right after. I don't know; a fourth go-round may be worth doing. Flame way. Thank you.

You mean Conor getting out of the position while grabbing Poirier's gloves and while Dustin was complaining to the ref about that, he jumped up and proceed to break his own foot as deserved?

He looked good on the stretcher leaving the Octagon though.

Spot on. Wanted the quick cheap finish to get out of there - huge mistake. He looked solid on the feet and it was a close fight.

One difference I saw in Conor this time is that he looked scared to get hit; flinched a lot. I haven't seen that from him before. When Dustin hit a few times just before the TD, he looked flustered.

he didn't look bad

he was doing some good GNP from the bottom but the fact he sent him wrestling shows conor got done

Fourth fight is not necessary, ESPECIALLY if Poirier wins the title.

Unless the UFC holds it as an exhibition.

McGregor did well in the first two minutes I thought he was about to invoke 2016 McGregor and give Dustin the hands. But as soon as I saw Dustin counter and get McGregor stepping back I knew it would be trouble going forward. Lost my fine dining money betting on Conor.

He didn't look terrible but the fact that he was still out gunned by Dustin in the 1 round he is suppose to come out red hot in showed that he was most likely going to be finished later in the fight.

If Conor ain't dominating or winning the beginning of a fight, chances are he loses.
