this is shades of conor/aldo you couldn't of scripted a more perfect scenario the 26 year old undefeated phenom runs through the entire tournament with finishes and destroys THE GOAT of the division inside 1 minute

So he was using the ol’ Chiesa defense huh? He was rocked and did Jack shit to get out the submission that’s so easy to get out of right? He fished for a high crotch for a second and then did nothing. He wasn’t escaping that. Beltran saved him. It would have been nice if he didn’t catch him at the end so he could collapse like a sack of potatoes and that’s the only thing remotely close to a mistake Beltran made in my opinion.

Bellator's debut on spike did almost a million viewers, there was a lot of hype around the event.

We can agree to disagree, but Pitbull in my eyes has never been a guy to fold under pressure.

Not him necessarily no, but if Dana sees a star that could accumulate way more wealth then it's not impossible, especially if the target has that on his agenda too.

Huge Money and a shot against who though? Nothing warrants the amount of money he deserves now really does it? The face of a franchise in a division where a relatively unknown 8th ranked goes to 2nd ranked in one night, there is nothing close to Pitbull who he just ended in 1 round.

A shot at AJ and Pitbull?

Maybe if the UFC and AJ both want it really bad it could happen but the idea the UFC is going to fight Bellator over AJ seems pretty god damn whimsical to me. Their worst card did more views then Bellator's best.

There are still good fights for AJ. None like Max Ortega or Volk, but unknown fighters become known by winning fights. Mads is a damn good fighter as is Adam Borics. Pico has begun to put it together too.

We'll see how it goes.

None of those guys are close to Pitbull or McKee's level, let alone the UFC's best.

I just watched a video that suggested his contract is coming to an end and he's "looking across" at the UFC,

10.55 onwards


"We'll sit down after this tournament for sure" "contracts man"

Dude is a millionaire with more hype than anyone out of the UFC who's contract is running down and you think he'd rather fight Mads or Borics right now? It's baffling to me, same mentality of the people who wanted to see Israel fight Whittaker again and stay in MW instead of move up to fight Jon Jones, Legacy and dollars are with the UFC he's accomplished his highest achievement at Bellator now imo.

Have you seen how people get out of guillotines before? When the opponent’s grip loosens because their arms start burning - they slip out. See Khabib vs. Poirier for an example. You don’t know whether or not he could of escaped that - nobody does. There was not a damn thing to indicate that he was out, though. I’m not even saying he would have won or anything of the sort, but Beltran fucked up.

Meanwhile, everyone who actually knows what they are watching think it was fine.

see I wouldn't be bothered if AJ did stay at Bellator, i'd admire him sticking to what made him for it, but we all know if you want to capitalise on dudes hype and talent his next fights should be better than Borics or Pico lol.

Dude he alludes to what I'm talking about in the video when he says "you know, clauses man".

I'm not arguing he wouldn't rather fight one of the top 3 in the UFC. Just that it's not likely to happen any time soon unless one of them goes to him. One that doesn't have the belt and a champ's clause. You're being very obtuse and seem to be ignoring the clear evidence that backs up what I am saying.

It doesn’t sound like you know what you were watching based off what you’re saying. It sounds more like you had a clear bias and was willing to take the win any which way.

What?! The fuck does that have to do with McKee’s. McKee had a high elbow. Khabib was in guard on the ground with an ARM IN. And the most important difference....wait for it.....Khabib was defending the entire time.

Yes he does, I accept your evidence that suggests in most cases you would be correct.. I just think this could be exceptional, like Conor "contracts"... If 2 of 3 major parties want to get it done and can get it done, it could be done. I see the argument of him staying far more compelling if he actually has fights that people want to watch ready for him, I find it unfathomable AJ fights any of the "good matchups" next.
