Economy Landlords look for an exit amid federal eviction moratorium

What are you? 18? It's obvious from the this statement you've never had to earn the money to pay for anything.
<45>Pretty accurate assessment of the landlord/tennent relationship if you ask me.

No better yet, lets give them free guv handouts that equal to more than they are worth at an actual job.

You say work for peanuts, yet, we can actively improve our skills to improve workforce positions, to increase self-value and more of an hourly wage. Whether it be through college or vocational training.

No, lets give every high-school drop-out “equal-pay” and get those minimum wages over $20hr. Better yet, lets make minimum wage whatever a nurse makes (RN) why go through the trouble of schooling.
Are you the arbitor of what they're worth. I mean, with out them, the business owner doesn't have much of a business, so I think we need to reassess just who is more valuable to who.

You're not giving them money. You're giving money to the tennants, and paying their bill. Dummy.

So the current state of things is just fine then? Because that's what's going on.

It differs state to state, but currently the rental relief programs are jointly filled by both the tenant and landlord in NYC for example. It's a complete fantasy you guys have here that the money is going to renters and they're just holding on to it and not paying rent.

No

There are mechanisms is place to make yourself more valuable and more employable. Im not gonna sit here and be for a unskilled, unmotivated work-force that doesn't want to even work to earn more per hour so that hopefully they will. If you dont like minimum wage, learn a trade/skill or acquire a degree in a field that is employable, lets not just bump those folks up to college grad pay fer nuttin’

Dont worry, everyone will be “minimum wage” one day when the end goal is met, with no chance to succeed.

You're still not getting this at all. Literally, at all.

The entire thing has absolutely nothing to do with giving money to the tennant to give to the landlord. It has nothing to do with whether they choose to use that money to pay their rent or not. All of this discussion is completely USELESS and a waste of time because you're too stupid to see how easy the fix is (which was explained to you in numerous posts).

Blah blah blah blah. People are waking up and seeing shit like what you just said for what it is; anti-labor propaganda.

Your fix is just give landlords money. I'm not missing anything here.

($50B has already been allocated for this as well as mortgage forbearance)

You don't allocate anything. You cover the monthly cost of the rental cost, monthly....as it was. It's literally unlimited for as long as you have tennants claiming the inability to pay their rent for that month (or until you remove the moratorium). You're giving money to the tennant. Not the landlord.

You can't even see this properly.

I get putting the moratorium at beginning of pandemic, but the program is long over due to be shut down.
There are jobs out there, and its not fair to the landlord who is getting shafted. I see help wanted signs everywhere. I am starting to see signs that say they offer $100 dollar bonus for every 30 days you stay on up to 5 hundo.
You still have property taxes, if your rental property is in an HOA you still have to pay that. Anything breaks you still have to fix it. Nobody has a rental home to lose a shit load of money on it.
The rental game is a risk. If you have good tenants that pay on time its good, but that does not always happen. Its always fun to have to wait for the courts to let you throw a deadbeat out and you pray they did not pour cement down your toilets, because they are pissed you threw them out. Try suing someone for damages that has no money.

How would we just give them money without allocating it first? It has to come from somewhere right?

You're all over the place. Very emotional.

First you said the money should go direct to the landlord without any effort on their part. Now you're saying it should go direct to the tenant to then pay to the landlord.

All while ignoring there are already funds and forbearance available for this.

I mean that there is no need to formally allocate any figure towards this. The figure is what it needs to be, and you cover it.

If you put a rent/mortgage moratorium in place you're inherently causing problems for a MASSIVE aspect of your economic structure. It's fine to do this, but you've got to cover it properly and as efficiently as possible to keep the economics as smooth as possible. Why would you disrupt and cause chaos for more sections of society than necessary? Especially for an essential thing like housing...

You do this by simply paying the landlords directly. Right into their fucking accounts. Whatever your monthly rent was last month, covered by the deposit from the government. You were going to issue this money to the tennant anyway, in this fashion you're saving multiple steps, propping up that massive part of your economy still, and providing subsidy/assistance to those in need. The government enacted the moratoriums as a way to ease financial concerns on millions of out of work people. As such, it becomes their responsibility to maintain whatever system is being interrupted. It's no fault of property owners on any level, and they should be supported (just like your fucking banking institutions) in such times. Moreso, it's people's homes and housing infrastructure - they very things most of you claim to care most about. Talk about being blind.

Just imagine the savings of money and time just by using a cunt hair of common sense.

So now we're back to giving money direct to the landlord?
