Suffering due to lockdowns and yet vaccination gets things opened up again. How hard is this to grasp?

Do you have your head stuck in the sand or do you just watch Fox and Newsmax on loop? No one is saying the vaccine will end COVID. However, it is roughly 90% effective in protecting you and if you do get it after being vaccinated your chances of serious illness or death are very very low.

99% of all hospital cases for COVID in the US are people that are unvaccinated.

I'm glad you haven't been infected but what if you are a carrier and end up killing an elderly relative that doesn't have your youth and health?

I already had COVID earlier this year and I still got vaccinated to ensure that my older relatives wouldn't be at risk around me.

A big part of the vaccine is to inhibit the spread of the disease, the other part being protection for those taking it.

I have to say, anti-vaxxer's have become the dumbest of an already dumb population.

Most choices we make come with opportunity cost and risk. But when a choice can risk someone else’s health than it’s no longer the person who’s doing the choosing who’s baring the cost. It’s those around them too.

Basically, It’s unfair to ask fully vaccinated people to stand shoulder to shoulder with folks who might make them sick.

And it’s unfair for society to shoulder the risk of getting slammed by a new and deadlier variant of COVID just to appease Joe, Jerome, and Juana, who don’t wanna get vaccinated.

It’s about FairPlay. They have a choice but chives have consequences, as it should be
