Economy August Jobs Report a massive disappointment

Open borders and given people money to stay at home while telling them they don’t have to pay rent might have something to do with the poor job report.

I work at a pretty big tech company with a good reputation. We have been having trouble filling in two 6 figure positions for about a year now. We aren't even that picky, there's just a lack of candidates. I know it pays well because I am making 40% over industry average in a similar position.

It's like calling Wilt Chamberlain "Reboundless Wilt" or Wayne Gretzky "Scoreless Wayne." We have had a recent president who saw no (actually negative) job growth during his presidency...[/QUOTE]

Unemployment still fell. There's a phenomenon called the "Great Resignation" where a bunch of millenials are leaving jobs this year without looking for a new job. They plan to start work next year

where would a specific gen get the idea to do such a monumentally stupid thing like leave a job and not work for 6 months

Its almost like a pandemic started* last year

Almost like a new variant has been spreading. Also, it's funny how Trump fanboys were denying that factors outside of the president affect jobs right up until Trump's bungling of the response led to a collapse.

This fucking guy

Troll on troller

Hmm. The factual claims there were that average monthly job growth has been far higher under Biden than under any previous president, and that we have had a recent true "jobless" president. Both of those are simple facts that you can look up and confirm. And your response is just childish name-calling. How about, "thanks Jack. That's good perspective."

Hmm, you think the global pandemic might have had something to do with that...

You've sunk to a new low Jack.

It's the new normal for the Biden presidency. Creating issues and then patting themselves on the back for reacting to them poorly.

Instead of planning correctly to get American civilians out of Afghanistan, they up and leave hastily and then have to run numerous emergency efforts to get many of them out before they're killed. Then a dozen or so people get killed and a bunch more get left behind and the administration pats themselves on the back for getting a record number of people out.

He hasn't proven anything besides stating that were gaining some of the jobs back that we lost during this pandemic.

Obviously the gains are going to be higher in the near term.

Yeah, we're still getting back the jobs we lost under Trump, though note that it's not automatic, and look at how much better the U.S. is doing than the rest of the developed world. Can't deny that Biden deserves some credit for that. Also, good to see hacks finally realize that job numbers aren't purely a reflection of presidential performance.

The pandemic is still going on. You’re taking like it’s over.

you guys make no sense at all. Isn’t it better these jobs are coming back?
