I generally try to not find humor in someone else's tragedy and if I do, I don't broadcast it to the world in some sad attempt to be edgy.
Also, no need for the thesaurus. This is a karate forum, no one is impressed.

No. Trumpism was a movement based on schadenfreude. The cruelty was the point. That's what made his supporters support him. That's the hill they died on - they don't get to lecture about decency after that. Cut the crap.

What we have in the OP is an "Ayn Rand dying on foodstamps" situation. Because of how she lived her life, because of what she advocated and who she tried to harm, she deserves to be ridiculed for it.

this really isn't a tragedy, by almost any definition. I would call it being hoisted by his own petard, if anything. Also lol @ not knowing the word "schadenfreude". Really needed to bust out the thesaurus for that one. It has four syllables, who am I, Stephen Hawking?

It's like that Louisiana pastor who said God sends natural disasters to punish homosexuals. Then a flood destroyed his house. People got a kick out of it, understandably. Obviously, people having their homes destroyed isn't funny under almost any circumstance...but here? Yeah, it was pretty funny.

Its not YOUR tragedy and thats all that matters to you. Thats what you're not getting in what I'm saying. Some things aren't really a subject of mockery. You're taking offense for some reason and then proudly doing exactly what you took offense to.

Lmao...Schadenfreude has become an extremely common word in the last 20 or so years. I hear it all the time.
