If you're a striker with crap cardio...I just don't agree that trying to grapple is a good idea. The striking wasn't one-sided. Maybe Imavov was slightly getting the better of it...but it was damn sure competitive. And it wasn't even Edmen closing distance and clinching that was the big issue. He was okay there...mostly a stalemate. It's when he expended all that energy working for takedowns where he went off the rails. His technique wasn't good either, he had his head on the wrong side which left his neck completely exposed and Imavov just latched on. Which led to Edmen having to spend a ton of energy fighting the choke.

But I don't really think Edmen is a good striker, I also disagree with that he is a 'striker'. He wrestled against Stewart for 3 rounds. He goes for takedowns in every fight. This fight would have also ended in a imavov win had it stayed on the feet.
 
of all the dogs today, a 2019 guy no one has ever heard of beat Phil Hawes of all the favorites. I might consider retiring. I dont know chit.
 
Hawes looked great until he didn't.

Curtis has had a decent career so far. He only lost to the 2 best WWs in PFL whod beat alot of ranked UFC WWs. Before that his last loss was a competitive decision to Belal ages ago.

feels bad my read was correct but my plays were a little off, should have been less greedy and just play ITD mostly instead of 2 and 3 props.

Anyone can knock anyone out with the right placement and momentum. Especially a 200+lb man ripped and juiced man in near athletic prime. Hawes clearly was the better fighter but cursed with mediocre chin.
 
Hmm looks like Phill kinda gave up there in that replay. In past fights he managed to fight back being hurt.
