Being 6'1 and cutting down to featherweight has had its downside. Hes just never healthy enough to want to fight (Yair ducking him notwithstanding)

SMH at you doofuses thinking he's retiring.
The source is 3rd hand info at best. And it just says he's "contemplating" retirement.
It's basically non - news.

You didn't see the video of Okamoto doing a interview with his manager Ali? Guy said we may never see him again and that he only wants a title shot which laughably he thinks he's earned. Of the two he's closer to retirement then getting the a title shot given Max is on deck next. Coupled with TUF timing with Volk Ortega fighting likely in September/October and then having Max face the winner likely in early 2022 or late 2021 unless Zabit's planning on hanging around for 2.5 years without fighting he's sure as shit not getting his title shot before that.

UFC doesnt is trash at times. Give him a fight, stop offering Yair rat to him.

That's just Ali though.

His cardio isn’t that bad. His style just uses a lot of energy.

Doesn't seem like he is 100% dead tired at the end, just reduced output. Having said that I do wonder if going to 155 would boost his energy, he's very tall for 145.

This news isn't that surprising to me. He rarely fights as it is and has been on a long hiatus

There were rumors he wants to get signed with Bellator, his brother Khasan is already there and his best friend Magomedov as well.

I heard he'll undergo surgery and his career relies on the result.

Tired of fighting? He fights like once every 3 years.

The Dagastanis aren't the most sturdy guys.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. He wont be missed, he doesn't bother fighting so how can he lol.

Comfortably the most overrated fighter in UFC. He never did anything to justify being ranked 3rd and he certainly didn't do enough to keep the ranking after almost 2 years of inactivity and prior inability to fight 5 rounds.

I like his style. But he hasn't fought enough pr fight the higher caliber guys to make me not want him to retire. No one should do this if their heart isn't in it. Let him go corner his little bro.

And news about this?

He's back. His coach said it a couple months ago and then again a couple days ago.
He's been training full-time.

I don't think a fight has been booked yet though. Not a lot of options available at the moment. Maybe they feed Korean Zombie to him?

I'm catching a lot of heat on another thread for suggesting Zabit is better than Yair. Got a lot of Mexicans in their feelings tonight.
