Cain Velasquez making a return to MMA retiring from Pro Wrestling

If true that is a horrible idea. Even at HW with it’s shallow talent pool. If he could crack the top 5, I’d consider that a really good achievement. His body is shot and if he’s actually been pro wrestling regularly since his last UFC fight. Then he’ll be in even worse condition now.

Just a really bad idea, imo.

Classic.

Or it’s retarded that it’s not openly available because of how successful the treatment is
Wow really? I actually never really knew about it I just assumed because Joe Rogan said it works that it was obviously a complete hoax lol. For real for real I do hope Cyborg recovers well she's a warrior. No one should live injured it's awful. That's interesting I didn't know it was actually effective.

Maybe he healed the injuries. HWs can fight longer than lighter weights.

Could be possible for him to be top 5 if he still has the cardio. or gets mured in two fights. who knows.....

Bad idea. His body couldn't hold up during his prime and now he's pushing 40... terrible.

Cain's HW reign was just awful for the division as a whole. Long stretches of injury-induced inactivity followed by rematches with JDS and Bigfoot...

Fuck it. Wrestlers age well, especially in HW. Probably juiced himself up during his pro wrestling run, and hopefully stayed in great shape.

I don’t see why not, we’ve had stranger career resurgence’s

I mean, why do you think circumcision is so prevalent in the USA? Doctors wouldn't been so keen if there was not an incentive to getting those sweet foreskins.

It sounds like he needs money. In MMA you compete a lot less than in wrassling. Cain would probably be better off going to Bellator.

Who would/should he fight?

IMO, if he insists on coming back, give him Arlovski. Doubles as a legacy/veteran fight for both guys and Andrei is pretty much the de facto measuring stick/gatekeeper these days to see if anyone belongs in the HW Top 15 these days. Failing that, then someone inside the rankings low down/coming off a loss. Sakai, Harris, Ivanov, and at most Shamil (if the UFC wanted to be generous with an opportunity) are about the closest he could get to patty cake match-ups IMO.

Not a guy with shot knees who couldn't stay healthy in his prime. Fighters like Couture and Cormier aged well and had good longevity, but Cain is very different.
