Valetina exposed tonight

Grappling has always been the way to beat her, there's just not many good grapplers at woman's flyweight to do that. That's why I'm so excited to see how girls like Blanchfield and Cortez will progress in this division.

No. Just another aggressive title and no substance in the OP from some guy thinking he's smarter than he is.

<DisgustingHHH>
Exposed is aggressive? Ok..

should it be, "Valentina finally challenged" ...?

Considering she went from never being taken down, to repeatedly getting ragdolled and controlled on the ground, I really didn't think the word exposed would trigger so many.

There you go, you're thinking. Good stuff man.

Lmao right, thats why you made so many posts in protests against American fighters, due to the non stop wars the US has been in the last 20 years.

Oh wait, no you didn't, because you are a hypocrite and a douche.
I am a nationalist. You might be suprised that a lot of other countries are as well. And they are greeted with open arms by the UFC.

Chef Shenko just fought a dumb fight, wanted to beat Santos at her own game. Most of the takedowns/back takes she got were actually reversals from failed takedown attempts of the champ.

She's been fighting midgets and cans ever since she got the belt, not surprising.

That's how Valentina always fights. The only difference this time is that she faced someone who had answers for Val's takedowns in the clinch.

Hahahaha exposed how? She dominated the striking, landed more shots from her back than Santos did in the entire fight, defended every single submission attempt with ease

Even if she won, she didn't win 4 rounds. That score made no sense
That's the 10pt system for you. We view the fight as a whole. Judges are supposed to be scoring each round in a vacuum.

Santos showed the blueprint to beating her, just need to avoid her dirty headbutts next time
There is only one problem with this theory. MMA has an extremely high random factor (small gloves, myriad of techniques allowed, 5 min rounds), therefore unless the skill gap is insane almost any fighter can win on any given night. In most other sports with high random factor (like soccer, for example) this is mitigated by many games per season, so in the end usually the best team ends up winning the championship. You don't have that luxury in MMA, you got like 2-3 fights a year and people usually analyze you based on your latest performance. Even with all the science when it comes to conditioning and timing your peak physical shape, you're still a human being and you have mini injuries, emotional problems, 1000 other things going on in your life and well your body itself is susceptible to all sorts of outside influences you sometimes don't even feel, but they impact your performance.

So hmmm, I always hesitate making any kind of predictions or blueprints based on one fight, absolutely anyone can have an off night and that effect can additionally be boosted by the other fighter having a great night. Ideally, it would be great if all fighters could fight each other 10 times so we'd have a more realistic picture. Due to the nature of the sport this is just not possible and we are left with a relatively small sample of fights. Of course, this is one of things that make this sport special and exciting. So yeah, unless Shevchenko or any other fighter has 2-3-4 weird/bad performances in a row against opponents who are not on their level, I wouldn't make any long term predictions or give blueprints. Especially because even if you have a fight against whose style is a counter to yours, it's still a fight between people, not between styles and someone's mental toughness, experience, hustle etc. are way more important than their style.

I hope TS means exposed as in she has shown that a strong grappler can beat her and exposed as she has always sucked.

Definitely, a 3-2 Santos and I thought Valentina would not lose. She did lose this fight. Even all of the MMA pros scored it 3-2 for Santos. Sherdog judges scored it 3-2 for Santos.

santos did well to reverse and grapple and then did fuck all with it. didnt do any damage, sheva looked completely clean at the end of the fight. going for chokes is all well and good but not doing ANY damage? Santos ate way more shots while being in a completely dominant position.

One tough fight, and you are exposed. I guess every great champ has been exposed.
