No way anyone could have Usman higher than GSP all time

Legacy Wise GSP had the best career at WW, and P4P

Prime 4 prime I don't think GSP is untouchable, and some of these modern WW's would beat him, but they would never beat his legacy

Add Khabib because of the absolute dominance and undefeated streak (the only one.) I personally believe both Jones lost his last two and GSP his last one at WW and both vacated and never came back . Fedor alone goes on fighting far past his prime and often still winning.

Primacy-recency bias shouldn't relate to a GOAT discussion.

If the guy is currently the champ, he's PROBABLY not the GOAT.

But if they are the GOAT, they've already blown the previous GOAT out the water.

GOAT's are never 'on their way' to beating win streaks, they've literally already done it.

You talk about Jones losing fights (while being the champion, so judges consider you have to do more to get the belt against a champion).

But what about Khabib against Tibau when he was a nobody then ?



Also, JJ was a champ at 23 years old : nobody ever did that.

Yet, we could easily find some undefeated fighters : Adesanya in his weight class, JJ if we don't count his DQ.

I agree, Max was on his way until Volk appeared. If he wins 3 more opponents in devastating way, he could/should be considered. But no more rematches.

Izzy is closer currently, humble opinion. Simply because he defended against more opponents instead of rematches.

Both of them have the chance, but isn't there yet. Currently.

I'm huge fan of Khabib. But no, he isn't GOAT.
 
You know what always surprised me. That Tyron never got an immediate rematch, I know it was pretty one sided but it still went to a decision and Tyron had like 4 defences prior to the loss.
