Media Translation of altercation between Khazmat and Abubakar

Khamzat is low key disrespectful with the way he puts his hands on people. It's like he always want to be the alpha in some kind of way whether it's patting people on the head, lifting them in the air when he hugs them, shit like that
Throwing kicks in the sauna.

Khamzat is just a touchy guy. He shoots playful, lazy doubles on other fighters in hotel lobbies for fun. It's his way of saying "hi".

Ngl tho, I wouldn't tap someone's belly to get their attention. In the military, we used to slap the junior guys in the belly/ chest if they had their hands in their pockets as a way to remind them to always be ready; and to keep their hands out of their fucking pockets. Not exactly a friendly gesture in that context, so I can't disassociate it from this altercation. I don't think Khamzat meant it to be disrespectful, but I get where Abub is coming from.

I love Khamzat, but dude just needs to chill and keep his hands to himself lol. It's so annoying when people feel the need to get all handsy and right up in your face to have a conversation.

Edit: I was one of those assholes that commented without really watching the video. Didn't really seem like Khamzat did anything for it to blow up like that.
has nothing to do with khamzat

everything to do with alpha egos

I can't let you get close when complimenting me.

The pat on the belly wasn't much but this guy has probably seen how Khamzat acts with others with grabbing them and stuff like that and so was waiting for Khamzat to try and do the same so he could tell him off

The translation seems correct even tho he is referred to as a rat. Abubakar seems like a terrible unstable person and should be locked up in jail for the safety of others.

Can't stand it when people fucking tap your shoulder. Some guys definitely do it as some kind of 'alpha' move, to feel like they're big brothering you or something. Khamzat has that type of energy about him, he probably tapped a little too hard on purpose, and Abubakar wasn't having it.

He kept doing it to Burns after the fight. Trying to get the upper hand with the hugs and face grabbing.

No surprise Conrats like OP think that is badass.

As great of fighters that the Dags are...they seem to be really shit human beings off camera, I mean when not promoting their faith they are usually found being macho assholes...such a lame Neanderthal thing to do.

Yeah Khamzat should knock that shit off for sure, same kinda thing happened after the Gilbert fight. No need to be all handsy all the time.

Yea I especially didn't like the rough way he was patting burns head. Especially considering the war that they had just been in with giving each other cte. Overeem used to do similar stuff with trying to punk or bully guys on the low, not just with reporters but he put his hands on bas and Masato too.

Someone finally translated exactly what was said between Khazmat and Abubakar.

So Khazmat came over being congratulatory and Abubakar when surrounded by other Dagestanis feels emboldened enough to act the hard man.

Gotta respect Khazmat, showed class but when confronted by a guy who fancies himself a hardman when he has the numbers to back him, doesn't back down despite being outnumbered.

Actually he just asked him hows the weight..

8.5 pounds bless

Sorry, but I disagree with you.
Abubakar merely (and politely) told him he did not appreciate the tap.
It was highly stupid of Khamzat to say he'd do whatever he wants.

And no, you don't have to "respect him" for acting like a douchebag. He knew security would protect him.
IMO this is a desperate attempt to save face from his run-in against Paulo Costa where he was the one with friends and Paulo was alone (and he did not act like that).

Is normal. Those guys can’t do shit against Kadyrow and Putin. So all that animosity has to be compensated elsewhere…

Khamzat got up to leave the arena during Islams post fight celebration, gave Abubakr a fake congrats, and got called out for his passive aggressive behavior. He clearly doesn’t get along with Khabib’s team, and I’m sure he didn’t like the image of Belal calling him out with Khabib in the background.
