Elections Kari Lake pulling ahead

Seems like the winds are blowing in a very appropriate right wing way on all sides, but we'll see...

I personally can't understand why people would vote for more of what's been offered up in the past two years, but politics are becoming less and less rational and more tribal, which makes it all very unpredictable.

What exactly are the republicans offering up? I'm genuninly asking because I don't know. I think I heard they were focusing on crime but is there anything else? I don't believe for one second they can stop the inflation. That's a world wide issue we aren't going to be the one country in the world who somehow solves it.

I find these threads pretty interesting, but why is Tucker Carlson taking about stolen elections again?

This seems like the opposite of what's happening?

Because the polling is wrong and a blue wave is coming

Their plan to fight inflation is tax cuts for the rich.

I think they are offering vengeance on Lefties in some capacity. Investigations, Impeachments, Charges. Basically it will be a lot of flash, soundbytes and shuffling of talking points but since the Right is really just the Left nothing substantial will change.

I think the biggest difference between L and R recently has been COVID response… R’s largely didn’t impose or promote pseudoscientific and destructive policies, and after seeing how authoritarian Ls were, I don’t know that I could ever vote Dem in the future.

Well, crime isn't exactly a small issue, so yeah, there's that(that "defund the Police" garbage is coming back to haunt the dems). There's also the immigration debacle, energy, and a sleeper issue with education. Now, I'm not going to get into the minutia of all the candidates' platforms and give you 900 links, but ultimately, like most elections, most are looking for an alternative if things are bad. Things are bad, and the Dems have total control. Hence, people are gonna look for a correction of sorts. The Republicans represent that, which is why they are poised to walk away with it.

In terms of inflation, you have an administration that denied it was happening for a good year. Will the Reps fix it? Probably not to any significant degree, but when the people in charge denied it was happening while spending TRILLIONS of dollars, in the face of average people seeing it coming a mile away, it speaks to their competence(or lack thereof). The Treasury Secretary literally admitted to not understanding certain elements of inflation. Not a good look, especially when the other side was raising the alarm the whole time.

To put it simply, this administration is failing on all sides. Why would people vote for more of it?

So nothing.. just petty hissy fits from an intellectually stunted group of people.

Republicans literally don't have a platform

What actual policy have republicans put forth to combat the inflation?

Literally the party of feelings over facts

Nobody who is normal supports killing babies and these retard democrats are making their whole platform about a woman's right to kill her baby.
The vast majority of people are pro choice, including a majority of Americans.

As long as they are not for killing human beings simply because those human beings are "inconvenient", but rather that it is for the protection of the life of the mother, that's okay.

A fetus is not a viable human being. Neither is an embryo.

I feel like minding your own business is highly underrated.

So your for the killing of inconvenient humans? That clarifies the "mind your own business" retort.
I'm for not pretending that a fetus is a viable human being.

I'm also for letting women determine their own lives.

An abortion is a medical procedure. Pro lifers apply their religious beliefs and call it murder. They should really mind their own fucking business. Don't like abortion? Fine, don't get one.

A human being non-the-less, though. I refuse to condemn our beginnings as human beings as insignificant for the justification of killing "inconvenient" humans.

In your opinion.

Especially in the first trimester, it is a gigantic stretch to describe the thing growing in a uterus as a human being.

Most importantly, the state has no business interfering in the decision, especially on religious grounds.
