Should Dana White step down as president of the UFC?

Do you read? I simply said we on Sherdog are doing nothing, let the attorneys, judges and Leo handle it. No one said let him get away with it but instead of acting like high schoolers, let the law handle it. Maybe you’re good with making decisions based off limited knowledge.
Who said a single thing about this being a courts and attorneys issue? Is the poll about him going to jail?
For like the 20th time:
The issue is whether Dana White is a wretched enough piece of human garbage to warrant being the public face of combat sports when he is a serial liar, serial cheater, and does embarrassing garbage like hit his wife in public or start slap fight leagues, all after cutting fighters for way lesser behaviors and talking a big game about not hitting women. There isn't "limited knowledge" about any of those issues. It's all public, and there's a strong divide between decent humans and garbage-bin Dana fans as to whether he is doing anything for the sport beside lining his own pockets, throwing tantrums, and palling around with some of the most powerful and shady guys alive. (Ferttitas, Emanuel, Zuck, Trump, Ali etc...)

You obviously like the guy and want him as the leader for whatever sad reasoning gets you worshipping him lol

#1 Dana lapdog Daniel Cormier doesn't understand people defending the Baldfather:

"But Dana’s making no excuses for his actions, right? Some fighters are trying to defend him. He doesn’t defend himself. Why should anyone go to defend his actions that he is saying, ‘I was wrong’? Everyone knows that it’s wrong.”

Cormier just wrecked every single apologist or 'equal rights' fraud in this thread - by explaining that Dana already wrecked them himself :)

@brackis1 Hopefully you don't become unhinged and get more yellows again, but I told you so....

Do you think it's going to hurt their bottom line enough to justify replacing him? Again, prior to this cancel culture, I'd say not a chance. Say what you want about Dana, but it's pretty common knowledge he works a ridiculous amount of hours and the UFC is basically his life. Will this make him a less efficient President?

I own a company that's been around for 90+ years. Sure, we do pretty deep background checks as well as social media checks. Any negative event needs looked at individually. If I have an employee that was in an incident like this and he/she is still with the spouse with no charges filed, I don't think I have the grounds to fire them nor would I think it's justified. If this same person hit their wife/husband and they were arrested + seperating/divorce, yes, I'd have some grounds.

It's bad enough that we intertwine everything work and social, but it's hilarious how now the overdramatic public thinks they should have a say in employment.

Me leaving hurts the company, hurts my employees, hurts the fighters. It doesn’t hurt me. I could have left in 2016. I don’t know. Do I need to reflect? No, I don’t need to reflect … I’ve been against this. I’ve owned this. I’m telling you that I’m wrong.

It was pretty obvious that it was going to go this way. Any negative publicity will not hurt the company as much as Dana leaving abruptly.

Where did I say Dana and his bosses would do the right thing?
I said anyone who wants an honest fair leader who isn't a scumbag should want him gone. And that's definitely not you, nor most fans, as we've clearly established.
If the fanbase of MMA/UFC weren't at least 50% boorish crass violent dudes who struggled in school, Endeavor would feel compelled to act on this because of people's opinions. But there are enough people who are okay with cheering on "cool guy" Dana because they want to live vicariously through him and their opinions haven't changed.
It's a character type established well before Dana by Vince in the WWE: an asshole that little men cheer on because they see themselves and wish it was them taking steroids, gambling addictively, and getting on TV despite seemingly no real skills beyond confidence.
They're also the type of dumb person/fans the UFC and their sponsors love because they're the perfect target for selling shitty gambling sites, shitty booze, shitty movies, gas station protein packs, shitty crypto exchanges etc... that all pay assloads of money to market to the dumbest most easily conned adult males.

I got excited. I thought that was Majin Buu.

Why would I call for him to be fired when clearly it would be a stupid move? You just don't understand business, which was precisely my point from the get-go. He isn't just a face of the company. He is so actively involved with multiple aspects within the company that it's ridiculous. Say what you want about him, but he's a workhorse. He's absolutely vital to the UFC through the work he does, connections he has, etc.. Can he be replaced? Maybe, but without a doubt it's going to take some major succession planning. Anyone who thought this was a big enough deal to get him tanked is clueless and a drama queen. That may be true for an executive just collecting a paycheck on past duties while just being a figurehead, but that's not the case here. So I should call for him to be fired? Lol - I'll leave it to the people that have no clue what is going on and my decision seems to align with the company that actually knows what is best...

It looks like this isn't the first time Dana slap his wife...I mean...just by their actions...this happens more often than not...some relationships are built to last despite couples engage in love touches (slaps) once in a while...it's how you "put someone in place"...they're still together so they're making it work...Dana's wife looks like high maintenance and $$$$$ can make a woman stick to her man for the long haul because of the "status symbol"...despite this incident...a lot of women probably still envy her because she lives in a mansion with a lot of designer clothes and bags...etc etc...a few slaps is nothing to a woman if her life goal is to be envied by others...

Whichever way you land on slapping up your wife in public on video as a public figure, I am mostly surprised at how many people put effort into defending Dana White, who is just a proven hypocritical, sometimes very-slightly entertaining promoter who makes awful spinoff decisions (slap league, lol), cheeseball fuck it Friday and “if you don’t know now you know” card rundown videos and uses backwards and conflicting reasoning in answering softball questions at press conferences.
Least the fighters and execs defending his actions have some kinda benefit to softening the issue or remaining silent in maintaining their paychecks.

Close the thread, bashing fighters isnt allowed specially bashing the father of all fighters. Keep your tears to yourself

I think a great deal of couples with DV issues both put hands on each other once in a while. And yes, just because this was the first time we saw it on TV does not mean it's the first time it happened.

I agree with your point. Divorces are usually financial in nature, women will endure a lot (infidelity, abusive spouse, etc.) if the price is right. There's not another Dana white waiting for her if she chooses to split.

Not gonna reread 150 pages, so I'm sure it's been covered but -

"It's a private matter" is such a weird take to me.

Donald Sterling was banned from the NBA because of some shit he said when he was unknowingly being recorded in a private conversation. But obviously, when the "private matter" at hand gets exposed for the world to see and someone happens to be the face of a multi-billion-dollar organization, they are kind of expected to not be a piece of shit. Could you imagine if Sterling came out after that and was like 'Hey, sorry guys. I'll just have to live with the label of 'racist' because selling this company ain't gonna hurt my wallet and I'm the only guy with the keys to lock up, so I'm kind of needed around here".

"Well what about his wife? She hit him first!"

Sure, she should face repercussions too. Why is this mutually exclusive? Is she the face of a multi-billion-dollar sports organization? No? How about the face of a large corporation at all? No? Does she even work at a company? So, she's a stay-at-home housewife for all we know?

Then it's pretty fucking obvious why we are not discussing whether or not she should step down, right? Hell, Dana stepping down/being suspended affects her too, so we get two birds with one stone? Perfect.

I think the real question that everyone wants to know is how would James Bond deal with his wife slapping him? We have our answer!

Sean Connery had a thing or two to say about slapping women as well.

Sean Connery's views on women, relationships and masculinity.

I can't believe the Slap League is going through.... Whatever happened to it being removed from programming.

Also whoa 3k posts.
