HC S+ done. Treated it like a completely fresh play through and used nothing but new weapons. Bummed I couldn’t hit my goal of sub 3:30. Came in just over at 3:34.

Pro S+ attempt next. I’m debating if I’ll use unlockables and leaning towards doing it. HC wasn’t too bad but Pro is definitely a big step up from that. Think I’ve got all my save points mapped out. Time won’t be a factor anymore, just frustration lol.

I hated using the chicken hat for my Pro run because it looks goofy as fuck, but the damage is no joke. The hat mitigates a pretty significant amount of damage. I think the only trophy attached is just beating it on Pro, so you won't miss out on anything with unlockables and its all about the challenge you want to lay down. I don't like that level of stress so I totally opted for maximum accessory usage.

I did a fresh pro run with the cat ear accessory thinking it would be a nice victory lap, and I was surprised how much I died in beginning chapters. I thought I would just pour on the damage with infinite ammo, but you still get swarmed like crazy.

I’m actually pretty curious to see how much damage it mitigates. Are there other accessories that can be used?

Not together, only 1 slot. But there are some other handy ones for Pro. The gas mask enables aim assist, but the only time I find that handy is for the mine cart. The antlers and wolf tail add knife and melee damage but wouldn't recommend that during a pro run.

The suit of armor for Ashley hands down the best piece of equipment for any run just for how easily she can end a run. The sun glasses on Ashley prevent her from flinching when tossing a flashbang, but if she's in the armor it's not really necessary.

Gotcha, wasn’t sure if any of the smaller accessories did anything. Had no idea about Ashley’s glasses lol.

I’ll pry use the armor though, if nothing else, for the water hall alone lol.

Armor is really handy in the sewers too, but you’re using the gate skip, it totally bypasses that. It’s nice for the Ashley sequence too, but after playing through the section multiple times, it gets pretty easy to run through and avoid the knights.

good luck on the NG Pro run. Cruising through the NG HC as fast as you did, doubt it will give much problem.

I’ll say it again though, my favorite run so far was my NG Pro run with the cat ear accessory. I had already beaten the game like 5 times at that point and it was still just as fun. I really enjoy clearing every box and chest, so the speed runs are a little unsatisfying to me, but then having infinite ammo for every weapon and having the ability to use what ever weapon feels good for each encounter was really great.

Finished standard & started hardcore.

Too early to worry about time or grade.

It’s TLOU3 good.
Me too and i got a shit score.

Im awful at aiming without a mouse and i dont have the patience or time like the other posters do to get pro scores, so im just enjoying the ride.

I have used some skips this go around since ive already finished it. Almost necessary as ammo and buying shit is extremely harder to depend on without worry.

Don’t forget the lack of skill as well.

That’s awesome. My favorite weapon to infinite ammo is almost always the magnums. RL is fun but you can seriously fuck your self up lol.

In my first run, i didnt beat Verdugo? This time i did...for 10k pesatas. And almost all ammo gone.

Wouldnt suggest this unless you got infinite ammo or know the game well to prepare. Mines worked well.

Finished up the trophies. The last one for S rank on all shooting range challenges wasn't as bad as I thought. The last one was the most frustrating. Not because it was super hard, but it gives you 4 weapons that are mapped differently than I had mapped them in my game. So trying to switch on the fly to a different weapons always had me switching to something I didn't want.

Glad to be done, definitely got monies worth. Even after like 8 playthroughs and all of the achievements, I still want to keep playing but I need to move on. Was looking at the achievement break down on Steam, and 89% of players have the achievement for "upgrade a weapon". Which tells 11% of players got stiff armed in the village and gave up.

Finally understood where dizzy got the "lack of skill" line from..

Started parrying more, but does this degrade the blade too?

I somehow managed to pull off minimalist and frugalist in the same run (no healing, only using knife and handgun)

Looks like Capcom patched the door clips apparently.

The Speedrun is gonna be quite different.

I had mine down to around 3:15.

I wasn't even a big fan of the original RE4 but I think this remake is AMAZING.

Started up a NG Pro run. I’ve had a pretty decent time of it so far with the exception of the cabin. It’s just so brutal if you aren’t managing the villagers well. Thankfully the rest of the run has gone decent. Got the chainsaw sisters and water hall in one attempt. Got the maze cleared and then Ashley got grabbed as I was opening the door to the next area and decided to call it a night lol.

A lot braver than me on your pro run, if Ashley got grabbed it means your doing it clean and not using her armor. I used every advantage to ease some of the difficulty. Armor, infinite Chicago Sweeper ammo, you name it, I used it!

100%, not spending thousands of pesetas every time you visit the merchant helps a lot. I was using it constantly without having to think about it which made the experience better imo.

Got a bunch of achievements knocked out with that infinite RL run. Now it’s working on S+ and getting the no merchant, no healing, hand gun and knives only runs going.

I seriously can’t get enough of this game. Probably since Elden Ring have I last sunk this much time into a title. I play it practically every chance I get.

Now you'll have a reason to pick up PSVR2 when the game releases with its VR mode.

I forgot all about the VR mode lol. This game is going to take over my year.

Nope, I’m using the armor. Even with the armor she still gets picked up and shows as “Help”. It triggered as I was opening the door and it’s an automatic fail.

I’m not using the Chicago Sweeper though, mostly just because I don’t really have the spinels for it.

Done and dusted! I was freaking out on the jet ski escape because I had to do the helicopter section on without a save. Spent my last one after Krauser.

Really wasn’t as bad as I thought. Decent time, I’m happy to get under 4. I had to put up with a lot of bullshit in order to not lose progress.

Time to start cleaning up the achievements.

Nice! Being able to use infinite ammo on a Shotgun is super satisfying. They've always been my favorite weapons, so to just blast to my hearts content brings me much joy.
