I figured it out a while ago, but that was a real 'damn, how did that go unnoticed' moment.
Their last names have gender variations. I believe Putin's daughter is called 'Putina'. It's definitely odd for westerners. I think for Pavlovich for another example, his mother should be called Pavlova.

She's not that great tbh. Did look improved in this fight compared to previous ones I've seen her in, but doesn't really look like a top tier prospect to me.

reminds me of Icelandic names. Hafþór Björnsson. his last name is Björnsson because he is the son of Björn but his 2 sister's last names are Björnsdóttir because they are daughters of Björn. he even said that his wife wouldn't take his last name as is customary in Western culture because she's not a son of Björn.

No. Pavlovich will stay like that for females (but I think this surname is not of Russian origin).
Pavlova is a female variant of Pavlov surname.
 
High IQ and Shavkat are on oppsite ends. Hooft will make sure it stays that way

Female names often ends in -a in that part of the world, even look at mma fighters

Mariya
Milana
Zubaira Tukhugov is a rare example but I saw people on social media calling him Zubair so maybe there happened some mistake in his papers.
