If I had to bet on where it's coming from I'd put my money on one of the most corrupt, and demonstrably so, industries taking advantage of a cultural phenomenon. There's money to be made from a lifetime subscription to pharmaceutical and treatments.

As for social contagion - I keep remembering the video of a mom being interviewed at a pride support event. She's in the middle of saying 2 of her 3 girls are trans when the 3rd pipes up that it's all 3. That's literally a statistical impossibility we're just supposed to play along with? - It's impossible to know whether a child will turn out trans or not.
- Implementing irreversible procedures to treat unverifiable and most likely temporary problems is unethical.
- To know whether a child will be trans in the future would require time travel abilities.
- This ads up to informed consent being an impossibility in this case. Yeah, you didn't mention that concept, but did imply that parents and doctors could maybe make the right decisions. Which they can't reasonably do because they lack information.

You think circumcision is closer to something so trivial as an ear piercing? Something that heals over time. You’re cutting off a functional organ that won’t grow back, something that self lubricants and has nerves. It glides in the pussy when you fuck. Yes it is much closer to an ear piercing. A piercing is a hole in your body that isnt a big deal. It doesn't cause you any significant harm having a piercing. The same thing can be said of removing the foreskin.

Foreskin is not an organ. It's loose skin that doesn't serve much purpose. As long as circumcision is done correctly its not something you miss having.

Trans surgeries completely remove or mutilate sex organs. It's obvious that circumcision is far less harmful.
