Lol, it's not a hard rule. I'm not teetotal. I just never got into any sort of drinking culture and I only drink alcohol to taste something new.

I've been driving a lot, getting lost a lot, much to the dismay of my ever suffering missus. A lot of small, winding, country roads here. Love the view of Snowdonia, especially from higher grounds. Going down the A55 from Holyhead was lovely. I'm thinking of going off the island to Cowry, heard it was nice from both of the owners of the cottage. Missus is utterly sick of being driven though. She keeps saying it is making her ill, and we argued a lot in the car because driving a car with a constantly complaining and criticising woman is not fun for me. She won't drive either, or even help with the sat-nav.

I haven't seen Twin Town.

It's a fun film. Very Welsh.
At least I don't moan on long journeys. I sit in the back and watch whatever I've downloaded on the iPad. It sounds like I'm being a selfish bugger but he'd rather that than me screaming every five minutes with the dullard drivers in California.

Well my missus is a constant critic, acts like she is suffering greatly and said that I was deliberately talking wrong turns and "torturing her". She came be a damn idiot sometimes.

It's North Wales. There are country roads and not many places to turn around, and Welsh is as foreign to me as Thai. Also, I'm driving the bloody thing, paying for fuel, and dealing with the "tortured" in the passenger seat.

The notting hill carnival actually has two days. The first day is intended for adults and the second day is “kids day” intended for kids and families.

Perhaps introducing something like that for the more extravagant pride parades would help parents make a informed choice

Yea dude that's a perfect idea I think. Makes it so everyone can have their fun , everyone knows what they are in for and nothing gets canceled. Seems the best way to accommodate everyone with minimal feather ruffling.

Stabbings at the Notting Hill Carnival reached the highest level in seven years at the weekend with violence, sexual offences and assaults on police officers marring the spectacle.

Scotland Yard said there were eight non-fatal stabbings on Monday. A 29-year-old man was critically ill after being stabbed near Kensal Green and a 19-year-old man was in a 'serious but stable condition' following a knife attack in Ladbroke Grove. Six other men, aged 18, 19, 20, 25, 28 and 40, were also stabbed.
