Fury won

This was boxing's version of GSP-Hendricks where people think it's a robbery because one fighter won some rounds BIG and the other just edged his winning rounds out.

Fury came in un trained and thought ot would be a walk thru. Fury Wilder 2s Frsnk on rematch.

That fight was close never saw that coming n never thought Firy would look so bad an Frsnk that good

I wouldn’t say that he fumbled the bag. He’s fighting Usyk next and got a cool 50 mil to look lackluster at best. I’m sure Fury hardly trained/under estimated Francis. I don’t think Fury was ever in jeopardy of losing a decision tho with dirty ass boxing judges.

incredible night for Francis regardless. He went toe to toe with the heavyweight champion, sending him to the canvas and the majority of the sports world believe he won. He bet on himself and won big regardless of what the scorecards say.

Fury made significantly more than Franics, will get 50 million to fight Usyk and still will be the A side in a Francis rematch

This event was a massive pop culture cross over.

I was in a hipster area of LA today, the type of place where nobody discusses sports let alone fighting. It was coming up left and right.

You cannot imagine how bad Dana fumbled the bag on this one. The UFC is so unbelievably cheap they often end up short sighted. If they gave Ngannou a reasonable deal, they would have been the co-promoter of this event and have one of the most marketable heavyweights on the planet under contract backing up dump trucks of cash.

War Ngannou. He advocated for himself, stood his ground and secured generational wealth from it. The UFC has these guys in lopsided, unreasonable contracts that pay out pennies on the dollar. This has to change.

Dana has a history of ruining super fights, he ran Prides reputation, made sure Fedor never came, talked shit on every superstar from GSP to Anderson

The one thing Dana didn't want is stars that were bigger than the UFC and he did everything he could to keep them small.

How is it vindicating MMA when most of the MMA fans were shunning Francis and mocking him because he left for better pay?

NO he didnt. Tyson fury gets much respect. and if it wasnt for him Francis wouldnt of gotten this chance.
so props to him. he could of left francis hanging dry and he didnt.

Fury won, while leaving interest for a rematch, he didnt fumbled anything, he will still fight Usyk for a lot of money and then even if he loses he can do the rematch with Ngannou, if anyone did it its the UFC for not being part of this.

These are the people who watch Francis lose, claimed he won and then watch Mercer KO Sylvia in 9 secs and make excuses for Sylvia.
Some guy already laid out a multiple post defense on why that shouldn't count because Sylvia was washed up, not knowing that Mercer was retired and 48 years old with a 2 day training camp walking into MMA and KOing a former 2x UFC Hw Champ with one punch
LOL we are really gonna clutch to a 100 year old fight that happened between 2 50 year olds in boxings defense?

MMA and especially UFCs heavyweight division has come a looong way since then and both men were way over the hill (Pudz got dropped by Sean McCorkle and went on to hunt Sylvia down around the ring after that!! lol)

Now in 2023 one of the current top MMA heavyweights just whipped the ass of the CURRENT heavyweight champion. If we're talking about old guys beating old guys... a middleweight MMA fighter just beat the lemonade out of an ex heavyweight champ in BOXING last year lol (vitor vs holyfield)

Saudis have money but they want their event on their soil. I think that is the issue. It means the live gate is going to be smaller than let's say Vegas. PPV times are a bit odd too. It will be a little earlier. If they back PFL then it would stay afloat regardless if it is popular or not.

says the guy who ignores reality.

Fury himself gave no excuses. You don't need to suck another man off that deeply.

There's no need to push your BBC fantasies on other people chap. If that's what you're into just embrace it

Ngannou didnt go 100 percent as he doesn't have as much endurance givrn that he has a lot more muscle mass and wilder has being a pro boxer for decades longer. So I believe ngannou is actually more powerful a striker than wilder but wilder can keep throwing power shots a lot longer thna ngannou can throughout the fight.

cause a lot these dudes on here wish they were Dana…
Pretty much true and here were are where the two options was to either shit on boxing if Francis looked good or shit on Francis that he should never have UFC if he had lost badly

It's only because Fury was throwing spinnin' shit and the Saudis were selling wolf tickets!

Francis short range power is the best in MMA. He has knocked people out with very close range shovel hooks and uppercuts.
Fury does a lot of clinching and wearing down his opponents gas tanks. Francis was making him pay in the clinch and at close range. This made him look more tentative than usual.

All those weigh them down tricks don't work with a mma fighter as ngannou's clinch and body wrestling is much better than fury at those tricks.
