When you look at it that he had no boxing record coming into this yes great achievement that it went the distance.

Ngannou powered didn’t translate to boxing that’s first thing I noticed.

Did you miss the third round? Power translated well he just lacks the means to set it up effectively. That and he's dealing with guys who are experts at dealing with punches lol

The incessant Conor hate just makes people look green. He won several rounds of that bout despite corrupt boxing judges. He put up a good performance but just got tired.

Lmao DKSAB

At the end of the day it was greatest HW-Boxer of all time competing against the greatest artist of the freakshow called MMA. Both delivered and lots of betas and gammas (other boxers, Jon Jones and the UFC) have no saying in this which is good...

Francis also gassed, and performed much better than Conor from start to finish. Was competitive all the way through and even knocked Fury down. Conor looked like a joke against Floyd - a 40 year old Floyd who was retired, a former 130 pounder, who fought wiht the same urgency he would sparring one of his daughters.

lol fucking Conor

While most people who watched the PPV are content with the fight,
two boxers who watched ringside were not impressed: Derek Chisora and Dmitry Bivol.

Chisora: "The fight sucked":

Bivol: "Tyson was so bad":

Bivol unsure if Francis has future in heavyweight boxing:

Do you casuals agree?

Isn't that what Dickhead Dana always says sir?..."This is prize fighting, it's not a career it's an opportunity ".

Well Ngannou took his opportunity for the prize and Dana wasn't there to dip his filthy hands in Ngannous pockets.

Ngannou in a lot of ways opened up some doors, and possibly inspired others fighters to fight against the greediness of people trying to step on them.

Took serious balls to walk away from the UFC in the face of the backlash and shitty comments, and not even know where you're going to land.
Only to do as well as be did last night.

Fuckin dude is like a superhero lol.

For real, as an MMA fan, this is such a complex story with so many different angles involving UFC-fighter negotiations and relations, MMA LHW-HW and Boxing-MMA crossover narratives, UFC-PFL dynamics, and the personal story of the underdog dirt poor kid with a dream who came from nothing.

Across all of those storylines though it is such an incredble victory for Francis. It's really a cool thing for us MMA fans who follow the sport a bit deeper, and the fact that Francis seems to be such a nice dude, it's just fuckin awesome.

Francis is a much better boxer than Conor

No way Bones ever fights him now
Could of been you Jon boxing for 10mil but he could never get it together

Fury will play with Ngannou worse than Mayweather did with McGregor. It will look like Fury-Wilder 2/3, but worse

Fury is an active HW champion in his prime, bigger than Ngannou, who moves way better, is faster, more agile.

Mayweather was a smaller, retired 40yo guy.

McGregor's boxing was miles ahead of Ngannou's too.

This fight will be a destruction

PS: that promo is fucking awesome
Oh, the beautiful Sunday crow fest.
Beautiful, zesty, crisp

Fury landed some big ones. scary big ones that I'm amazed Francis wasn't more effected by. The show of wear on one man's skin to another's isn't always a useful tell in how hard they were struck, but rather a tell to whose flesh is more durable. the forehead cut was likely the effect of a clash of heads that occurred in the second round I believe and was aggravated by a second clash of heads in the third and of course strikes thereafter. They both landed well, I thought. Francis had two big rounds a couple smaller rounds. Fury maybe one big round where he clearly rocked Francis, but otherwise just a good persistence of effective activity. It was a closer fight than I originally thought on the re-watch. Francis missed some real monster shots that Fury was expressively grateful for having gotten out the way of on a couple of occasions.

Francis did a really surprisingly great job in managing the distance, counter striking bravely from the pocket while being tagged and preventing Fury from pressing forward following effective lands. His pace, efficiency and patient commitment to strategy was out of control impressive, and he really did show glimpses of what a big Mike Tyson might have looked like at moments in his movement. Mike's training was spot on and I really hope to see a lot more of it with Francis and hopefully other big boys down the line. Great to see Mike handing down the Cus D'Amato heirloom that he was the pedigree recipient of.

freaking great fight. fight sport history forever shit.
He will try to slip non padded gloves into the next rematch if he can

Let’s not forget the racism of UFC giving Conor a fast track to a FW title shot after beating an off the couch Mendez, and then an immediate rematch with Diaz at LW while keeping the FW belt hostage, and then a shot to be a two division champ without defending his belt, instead of giving their longest reigning champ, Aldo, an immediate rematch or an opportunity to fight for the LW title during his near 10 year reign.

Also, for setting up a fight with Mayweather, and then throwing Ngannou under the bus, trying to assassinate his reputation and ruin his negotiations, just because he dared to ask for terms that was still less than his true worth.

UFC is out here ruining lives and legacies just to keep up pretenses.

Yes, let’s talk about racism.

big globalist business knows no racial lines, only profits. UFC, like any globalist business, will push and support any brand or product that makes them money, and throw anything else under the bus. and yes, if ethnic or nationalist fervor is a way to make them money, they will push it que McGrogor vs Khabib. it's shameless but all big globalist business is shameless

at the end of the day these are just men fighting

Chisora still fighting? Can't remember anything of note from since "he glassed me bro"

Hahahaha Navy seals...

Watch a single podcast with an actual SEAL who saw combat like Jocko Willink or Andy Stumpf.. They all talk about how all the pressure point, eye gouging stuff they were taught was absolutely useless when it came to actual combat and how BJJ and MMA training is far superior because you can actually spar with your techniques.

Anyobody who has been in the Military will tell you the same thing. You can't train an eye gouge, it's all theoretical. You can train the sports that make up MMA and then add that theoretical knowledge in and use MMA to gouge eyes.

Hell we have even seen this in MMA with Yuki Nakai who lost his sight after an eye gouge in an MMA fight, won that and his next fight whilst massively outweighed before losing to RIckson Gracie at Vale Tudo Japan. The guy was 135lbs, lost his sight and still managed to fight on and win 2 fights.

It's all been seen before.

I'm aware of the Nakai fight, in fact, my old trainer was instrumental in getting gordeua banned. That shit doesn't belong in sport. That is to say, no one should be getting damaged to that degree for anyone's entertainment.

Now, in terms of the seal I knew, all I can say is that I've been around a lot of fighters and the entire vibe he gave off was different. It's not the same when the intent is to kill And also, the stories I remember about the bouncers and the fighters who take the shit to the streets and end up in the ER either from multiple assailants, knives, or getting bit in the nuts. Anything can happen and some folks have to learn the hard way. No ref to save you and no cornermen helping you out. Just you and if there's one thing I know about mma/martial artists, they don't function well all by themselves, they can't even talk one on one without getting jittery, it's just not in their makeup. It's a different thing and like I say, they look at it like frat boys hanging out, it's not the same no matter what you guys think.
