I had money in Jiri but I think Alex took it.... Leg kicks were most significant part of round. Alex outstruck him badly. Jiri got TD but only landed 3-4 GNP shots. Didnt advance to any dominant position. No sub attempt and then Alex got back up.

I think the feeling of danger was the reason people could feel like Jiri won round 1 but he didn't land any damage at all and had his leg battered.

Reminds me of the Val/Grasso round 5 fight where the feeling of a finish felt way closer than it actually was so judges scored it a 10-8 on the possibilty of a finish?

damage trumps all. jiri looked really hurt by those legs kicks. but of course judges dont know anything about that.
